Suddenly no Audio, no flash, No WEBGL in Firefox only.
Hello,
Yesterday, all audio, flash, webgl suddenly stopped working in firefox (and in firefox only). No new extensions or anything else have been installed.
I have reinstalled flash 5 times to no avail. I have followed every support page i could find, did not fix it. I have started firefox in safemode, still no cigar, i have reset firefox completely, still not fixed.
Yes, volume sliders are checked and are on full whack, there is no audio output shown at all from firefox.
I have disabled tracking protection, hardware acceleration, and everything there is to mess with in the general settings, still no sound, flash nor WEBGL.
I have gone from start to finish in the about:config settings, and could not find any problems, i have also set the all sandbox.content.levels to 0 or 1 as a test, which unfortunately did not fix the issue either.
I have even downloaded and tried a portable version of firefox, with completely fresh profile and everything.. still not working.
I've temporarily disabled all firewalls and security software, did not make any difference.
I have checked for new GPU, Sound drivers, but i already got the newest, and everything worked fine before yesterday.
I've pretty much tried everything i could think of, but there's still no sound, no flash and no WEBGL in my firefox.
Anyone got an idea of what might fix this ?

Might add i also tried deleting all blocklist.xml, blocklist.sqlite's , and cookies,sqlite files.
Also tried resetting my hosts file to the standard empty windows host file, no fix either, and everything works fine in chrome, with my custom hosts file.
go to about:config, find webgl.force-enabled option and set it to true. Restart firefox. May be it will help you.

Unfortunately it didn't make any difference sorry, still no sound, no flash, and no WEBGL :(

I already did this, as stated in the OP. Did not fix the problem.
I've just tested some firefox forks like Waterfox, Tor Browser, Pale Moon etc. and everything works fine in those aswell.
Im lost here. Even with a completely fresh install of firefox, there is no sound, no flash, no webgl.
Some error messages which might or might not help:

Error: WebGL warning: Failed to create WebGL context: WebGL creation failed:
- Error during ANGLE OpenGL init.
- Exhausted GL driver caps.
Please check and search regarding this as it says : " Storage access is restricted in this context due to user settings or private browsing mode. " So the above is your issue to figure out on your Video Card.
Below Is a Opt in feature please search to find out : Error: WebGL warning: Failed to create WebGL context: WebGL creation failed:
- Error during ANGLE OpenGL init.
- Exhausted GL driver caps.
Please check if can see any issues in about:support for your Video Card.
Please consider next time to turning on send info to Mozilla from with in Firefox before posting a question. This helps us help you. I have no info from your system that would help see things that cause issues. We would have all your extension info, all your video card drivers to see all errors if any as well as WebGL info.

There is no errors showns, i've updated to the newest beta drivers aswell, still no sound, no flash and no webgl.
All WEBGL features are turned ON including force enable webgl
I do not understand the last part of your reply.. Are you talking about anonymous statistics/usage ? Extensions info doesn't really matter, as the problem persists with a fresh install no extensions, and when using a portable version of firefox with a totafresh profile.
You can just ask whatever info might be needed, and i will provide it.

BTW media.default_volume is also set to 100 (1.0)

Also please try creating a new Profile :

- Repair System Registry and Files
Find the Dos Prompt or Powershell then Right Click and Run as Administrator then : Copy/Paste to Dos Window : sfc /scannow ( SFC<space>/Scannow ) then hit Enter. Reboot when completed.

It's in the support pages, i've already done it. No cigar!
Still no flash, no sound or webgl in firefox! Someone please help me!
I forgot to add, that it also constantly popup's with
"To improve video quality, you may need to install windows media feature pack"
However the installer says, not applicable for your system, when trying to install (because it's already installed, and verified with SFC /scannow )
Anyone ?
