firefox not connecting with internet...followed suggestions on help page didn't work

Can you try this and see if still have an issue : https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/troubleshoot-firefox-issues-using-safe-mode

When reply can you please provide the Firefox Version # and the OS you are using. Extensions list would be great also since non of that information came through to Support when sending info to Mozilla is turned off. Thanks.

I would get rid of WOT as they were caught selling collected info.

Should probably only run 1 adblocker. These 2 run pretty much the same. Ghostery plays nice with other adblockers.
