Web Console appears annoyingly all the time. How to remove it?

When using firefox, the web console appears annoyingly "blinking" in the bottom part of the window. Some times it dissapears for seconds and then it suddenly re-appears. Is there a way to get rid of this console and the whole web developer tools? I tried selecting False for all devtools in the about:config, but it does not help. I tried to disable the only two plug ins that I have, but it did not work.
