Type about:addons<enter> in the address bar to open the Add-ons Manager. Hot key;<Control> (Mac=<Command>) <Shift> A)

On the left side of the page, select Plugins. Find Shockwave Flash, and make sure it is set to Always.

Flash Player is shown in Control Panel but Windows 10 has control over it. Even though Flash Player is installed in, and is an integral part of, Windows 10, Shockwave Flash does not appear in Plugins list for Firefox (see my original post). However, it does appear in Addons for IE 11.

It doesn't seem like a good idea to download Flash Player when it's part of and under Windows 10 control.

Thoughts???

Try to install Flash as administrator in case there is a problem with creating the registry keys that Firefox needs to find the plugin.

You can check if you can find the 32 bit Shockwave Flash plugin (NPSWF32_26_0_0_131.dll) for Firefox.

  • (32 bit Firefox) C:\Windows\SysWOW64\Macromed\Flash\

I'm really not trying to be obtuse but before I follow recommendations to download and install/reinstall Flash, there's is a real concern that needs to be resolved.

In as much as Flash is already installed as an integral part of Windows 10, what will happen when trying to install a "stand alone" version of Flash on top of the Windows 10 Flash that's already there?

Flash: Grab the uninstaller from here:

http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/uninstall-flash-player-windows.html Uninstall Flash Player | Windows

http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/uninstall-flash-player-mac-os.html Uninstall Flash Player | Mac

Then reinstall the latest version.

Note: Windows users should download the active_x for Internet Explorer. and the plugin for Plugin-based browsers (like Firefox).

Note: Windows 8 and Windows 10 have built-in flash players and Adobe will cause a conflict. Install the plugin only. Not the active_x.
