The problem may be (partly) running 2 live streams at once. Has anyone encountered this before?

I have you tried disabling the protected mode feature of the Flash player plugin to no avail. I reenabled it.

Now, running only 1 live stream, it is not crashing.

Thank you. Robert Allen Leeper

No. It crashed again while running only 1 live stream. Crash reporter said "there was a problem sending your report". I have found and examined the crash report but was not enlightened.

This began happening after a very recent clean reinstall of windows XP and FF 49, using a saved profile.

If it would help I would be glad to send you one or more of the crash reports.

I will try the latest version of FF, though I have a definite reason for wanting to stick with FF 49. I may have to go to another browser, but I never had this problem before.

Thank you for any help you may be able to give. Best wishes, ral

Firefox has supported XP longer than any other mainstream browser and longer than MS has supported XP so you are probably best sticking with Firefox.

( Very recently MS released a patch as a Wanna Crpt ransomware fix and apparently included home computers - XP: 32bit SP3, 64bit SP2 - not only server editions where what would be a paid for patch may be free

)

Consider using Fx49 only where absolutely necessary and probably best in fact to use the Fx49 esr from the third party Firefox Portable. I will provide further info needed.

The protected mode is NOT available & so may not be disabled in XP

We may be able to offer some advice if we see your crash reports, but that's not too hopeful on an old XP running an unsupported Firefox version. Paste in to your next reply 2 or 3 of the crash IDs someone may be able to gain some insight from them.

We're sorry to hear that Firefox is crashing. In order to assist you better, please follow the steps below to provide us crash IDs to help us learn more about your crash.

The crash report is several pages of data. We need the report numbers to see the whole report.

  1. Enter about:crashes in the Firefox address bar and press Enter. A Submitted Crash Reports list will appear, similar to the one shown below.
  2. Copy the 5 most recent Report IDs that start with bp- and then go back to your forum question and paste those IDs into the "Post a Reply" box.

Note: If a recent Report ID does not start with bp- click on it to submit the report.

(Please don't take a screenshot of your crashes, just copy and paste the IDs. The below image is just an example of what your Firefox screen should look like.)

But I am updating to the latest FF, so you may want to wait for a further reply.

ps: the question marks are tabs I added in an attempt to improve readability.

Updated to FF 52. Waiting for crash, running 2 live streams at once.

Thank you very much, John99.

Best wishes, ral

ps: I have also installed windows 7 (dual boot). If I can learn to love it as much as xp, this issue may become altogether moot.
