Why does Firefox 48 keep losing my passwords?
Every couple of days, all of my passwords are wiped out. I have to keep going to my Password Exporter app to restore them. I am using Firefox 48 with Win 8.1 This has been happening for about 2 months.

Keeping backups is a great idea for such losses.
We have, now and then, had password issues in the past. I myself have lost passwords several times.
No real cause was found, but it might be an add-on.
Type about:support in the address bar and press Enter. Under the main banner, press the button; Copy Text To Clipboard.. Then in the reply box at the bottom of this page, do a right click in the box and select Paste. This will show us your system details. No Personal Information Is Collected.
There is nothing to place in a clipboard. There are no messages to tell me my passwords are no longer available. I only know it because when I log onto a site, the name and passwords do not appear.
The above lets me look at your system details. Not your passwords.
