system crashed istalled Linux I have a thunderbird acc.forgot P.W. X@hotmail.com new email x@gmail.com
I was using Windows 7 kept getting pop-ups to upgrade to Windows 10 did so not knowing I had to bake up 7. I did not like 10 so I installed Linux which has Thunderbird as a email option would like to use. My account is under x@hotmail.com. I cant access because I forgot my password.Thank You!

There is no password to Thunderbird. Email accounts have passwords and are administered with your provider. You need to work with them to reset a forgotten password. Most providers have a link to do that on their email help page.
FYI it is not the best idea to post your email address in a public forum. Spammers love people who like to share there personal info.
