Encountering problems while accessing Facebook on FireFox.

When I go onto Facebook, numerous things do not function when I use Firefox browser, this does not happen with the Chrome browser, so I assume it must be a browser problem. Problems mainly arise in (1) the loading of the page (slow), (2) the stylesheet is not read properly and the page that can be seen is solely HTML5. (3) Almost always pictures do not load, meaning that posts will be shown with a blank square where the picture is supposed to be. (4) I get strange pop-ups implying that I have tried to download something (php file) which I did not, usually it is a file with a strange name. See the screenshot for problems 2 and 4.
The first, is of Facebook acting weird the second, is of a pop-up where it is asked whether I would like to download a php-file that I did not request. Now to my very limited understanding of web development it is perfectly normal for a browser to request certain files (that is how we use the web) however it is not normal for me to get a pop-up to download the file to my laptop unless I specifically request that. In addition, there is no reason why Firefox would need me to permanently store a php file from Facebook onto my laptop (as far as I know...)
This happens randomly and I cannot replicate it. Hopefully someone will be able to help with this?

I guess that your Firefox needs a malware scan ,as symptoms like pop ups are coming with strange behaviour etc. Suggesting you to do a complete scan of your system specifically programs files with any one malware scanner like malwarebytes,adwcleaner or hitman pro . Most likely if you are not using system then results can come much precisely. So do a scan and restart your Firefox and see whether it works fine or not .
I have tried Malwarebytes, Ccleaner, Microsoft's free malicious software removal tool & my virusscanner: Bullguard all of those did not find anything on my computer.
Furthermore, as the problem only seems to surround Firefox, I thought it may be related to settings within Firefox?
I have also reset Firefox multiple times and reinstalled it completely. I have encountered an error with my laptop that I do not think is related but it's possible: -unexpected store exception, which is always followed by the BIOS screen and appear unrelated to any activities on my laptop.
I am not sure if that is related to the problem with Facebook & Firefox. To me it seems as if Firefox is unable to correctly display Facebook style sheet in the first screenshot. However the php - file I find even stranger, I continue to not download it as it may be a virus so I do not know what the file could contain.
To sum up, I think the pop-up mainly shows there is something not correctly working with Firefox on my laptop.
Does anyone have any ideas how to fix this? Or even what the problem actually is?

hi, that seems to be an issue with bullguard - please make sure that all its modules are updated to the latest level or otherwise disable it for facebook as it's described at here.
@Philipp I have updated bullguard. With regard to switching of the 'show save results' would that not result in turning off bullguard for Facebook? Would that not increase the risk of attracting a virus? I would try it, but it seems risky to turn of bullguard.
Also would I not have similar problems with accessing Facebook through Chrome if the problem lies with my virusscanner interfering?

That clears it up, thank you. Hopefully the update from Bullguard will work.
