The error message i get is;

There was a problem including the file leaf_signature.png in the message. Would you like to continue sending the message without this file?

This has only just started to happen. They were loading up until a few days ago.

I have checked the route to the server and they are all in the correct location, and it is frustrating not to find the problem.

Any help would be appreciated.

How exactly do you include leaf_signature.png into the message?

Where is the file leaf_signature.png located?

I have checked the route to the server

What does this mean? Please be specific.

Hi,

the image is via an HTML signature and the leaf_signature.png is my logo which is located on my server.

The social media icons that I use in my signature also with the links to the relevant destination Social Media pages were all in place also.

My signature had been working correctly with all images showing, until up to about 3 days ago. They disappeared overnight. I just get the broken link boxes when I try to create a new email to send.

Many thanks,

Not sure if this is Mozilla update that has caused this...

I'd interpret that as, you include a URL into your signature to an image which is located on a server reachable via Internet.

Try to open the image via browser. This doesn't sound like a Thunderbird problem to me, but more like a problem with your server.

Hi christ1,

yes there is a URL in my HTML to locate the images on my server, and as indicated were working previously. Nothing had changed.

The URL's do not open in a browser, and I have just realised that this is because I have a permanent 301 redirect from my old domain to my new one.

Any suggestions?

Then I'd suggest you try the URL for the new domain.

Have done, but still does not find the images both as a URL in browser or from Thunderbird.

I have also contacted my server supplier to see if they can shed any light on the problem.

You'll need to fix the URL first. This is not a Thunderbird problem.

Hi there.

Same problem over here with TB 45.2.0 .

I have some .png in the signature and there still available on server, I can see them from browser. They've been working on TB up to 2 weeks ago, then I went on holiday and back on today I'm returned a message like the attached for any pictures: "There was a problem including the file instagram.jpg in the message. Would you like to continue sending the message without this file? There was a problem including the file instagram.jpg in the message. Would you like to continue sending the message without this file?" Message is doubled in the popup, see attachment.

Any ideas?

Thanks and best regards
