I am unable to delete history. I reopen the Library to find it all still there. Help?
I have tried doing everything I can think of including going through the detailed instructions of how to delete history. It isn't deleting. I reopen the browser and look in the Library to find it all still there. I need to know how to fix this. Thank you.

Places Maintenance {web link} Allows to run Maintenance tasks on the database that drives Places, the bookmarks and history module behind Firefox.
Open the Add-ons Manager. Locate the add-on and press the Options button. Then follow the directions.
You can check for problems with the places.sqlite database (bookmarks, history) in the Firefox profile folder and possibly rename/remove all places.sqlite files including places.sqlite-shm and places.sqlite-wal to rebuild places.sqlite and restore the bookmarks from a JSON backup in the bookmarkbackups folder.
