there was a security update that popped up last friday (i havent' seen one of these before) i updated, but didin't load when i clicked to install it, so i clicked it again and it did intiate.

Then after installing this, Zoho CRM will not load other websites seem fine. I tried to reinstall and also tried installing an older version in case there was a compatibility issue but still having problems.

Zoho confirmed its not their end and I can view the site properly on another computer. can anyone help with this.

I am pretty disgusted about this, i'm not sure how i can trust mozilla after this.

Hi, delete all references to the website in question, as shown under the heading 'How do I remove a single website from my history?' in this article - Delete browsing, search and download history on Firefox, then try the site again.

If you are in any doubt about the authenticity of update pop-ups, it's best to ignore them and check for yourself by opening the 3-bar menu > Help (question mark at bottom right) > About Firefox.

If your question is resolved by this or another answer, please take a minute to let us know. Thank you.

i posted another question just now i had to roll back in order to get rid of the update, it popped up within firefox. i do not know if it was genuine or not but it's messed up my copy of firefox. i now need to know how to import the bookmarks and anything else that is sync'd into chrome, - i don't like this browser as it takes up a lot of resources.

Note that your System Details List shows multiple Flash plugins.

  1. Shockwave Flash 15.0 r0
  2. Shockwave Flash 16.0 r0
  3. Shockwave Flash 19.0 r0

You can find the installation path of all plugins on the about:plugins page.

You can check the Flash player installation folder for multiple Flash player plugins and remove older version(s) of the plugin (NPSWF32) and possibly (re)install the latest Flash player.

  • (32 bit Windows) C:\Windows\System32\Macromed\Flash\
  • (64 bit Windows) C:\Windows\SysWOW64\Macromed\Flash\

You can try these steps in case of issues with web pages:

You can reload web page(s) and bypass the cache to refresh possibly outdated or corrupted files.

  • Hold down the Shift key and left-click the Reload button
  • Press "Ctrl + F5" or press "Ctrl + Shift + R" (Windows,Linux)
  • Press "Command + Shift + R" (Mac)

Clear the cache and remove cookies only from websites that cause problems.

"Clear the Cache":

  • Firefox/Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Cached Web Content: "Clear Now"

"Remove Cookies" from sites causing problems:

  • Firefox/Tools > Options > Privacy > "Use custom settings for history" > Cookies: "Show Cookies"

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox menu button/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem.

  • Switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox menu button/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance
  • Do NOT click the Reset button on the Safe Mode start window

You can remove all data stored in Firefox from a specific domain via "Forget About This Site" in the right-click context menu of an history entry ("History > Show All History" or "View > Sidebar > History") or via the about:permissions page.

Using "Forget About This Site" will remove all data stored in Firefox from that domain like bookmarks, cookies, passwords, cache, history, and exceptions, so be cautious. If you have a password or other data from that domain that you do not want to lose then make sure to backup this data or make a note.

You can't recover from this 'forget' unless you have a backup of the involved files.

If you revisit a 'forgotten' website then data from that website will be saved once again.
