Why doesn't my calendar at home sync with my calendar at work.
I just recently started using Thunderbird at the recommendation of another user. I have it both at work and home. My emails and folders sync between both home and office, but my calendar does not.......why?

You need to connect Lightning to a calendar "in the cloud" that both Thunderbirds can connect to. This is effectively what you're doing with email, as both home and work computers are presumably accessing the same IMAP server(s).
I use Google Calendar and CalDAV within Thunderbird/Lightning to do this. (This suits my needs well as I have a couple of Android devices with native calendar support built in.) Other calendars may work; check what your ISP or email provider offer. Support for CalDAV, WCAP and iCalendar/ics is built into Lightning so you need an online calendar that uses any of these.
Zenos, thanks for the response. I'm new to Thunderbird. Could you tell me the steps....not sure where to start or where to go to do this.
Well, first of all you need to find an online calendar that Lightning can work with. Google Calendar is one; does your ISP or preferred email provider offer one you'd rather use, bearing in mind the connection options I mentioned earlier?
