Is this about the location/address bar suggestions?

Use these steps to remove saved (form) data from a drop-down list:

  1. click the (empty) input field on the web page to open the drop-down list
  2. highlight an entry in the drop-down list with the mouse or cursor Down key
    do not click the mouse or press the Enter key
  3. press the Delete key (on Mac: Shift+Delete) to delete the highlighted entry

This works fine EXCEPT it does not work for the one at the top. Is there a way to get rid of the one at the top?

Assuming that you are using the current Firefox 43 version ...

  1. Go to about:config in Firefox (typed in the Location bar)
  2. Click the I'll be careful button
  3. Locate the browser.urlbar.unifiedcomplete -- boolean
  4. Change the value to false

Note: You may need to restart Firefox for the changes to take effect.
