Firefox slow no fixes work
I'm new to firefox, but something is wrong. Whenever trying to connect to ANY website it takes forever or "Connecting..." and after it finally connects to the page it loads very slow. That is if it doesn't get stuck on connecting forever.
I have tried new profiles, resetting firefox, erasing all history cache cookies etc, and disabling anti-virus. All of my hardwarae usage is low. This includes cpu&core, ram (pagefile disabled), hard disk highest active time, gpu, everything. I tried disabling hardware acceleration. No add-ons. No extensions. I tried disabling all 3 plugins. no services.
I have 300mbit/s internet hard wire with no data loss.
It also never closes. No matter if I press the menu button then the power button. It runs in the background and the only way to stop it from running is to end the task in task manager.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web Link} by holding down the <Shift>
(Mac Options) key, and then starting Firefox. Is the problem still there?
Have your ISP check your service.
Unplug your modem power for a 10 count to re-boot it.

Starting firefox in safe mode does not fix the problem. My ISP was here a month ago, and I got a new modem and they tested the wires and connection. Chrome loads pages instantly. I'm using hard wire and can play my video games for hours without losing a single packet. I think it's firefox; not my ISP. Why do you think I should have them check it?
Start your Computer in safe mode with networking. Then start Firefox. Try Safe web sites. Is the problem still there?

The problem is no longer there if I start in safe mode with networking. cftmon.exe ran only during safe mode.
Programs that run during a normal boot, but not in safe mode.
dllhost.exe dwm.exe HiResTimer.exe (this is a service I downloaded for my video game) nvvsvc.exe nvvsvc.exe nvxdsync.exe RzSynapse.exe*32 (program for my gaming mouse) Steam.exe*32 steamwebhelper.exe steamwebhelper.exe svchost.exe (probably the extra services running) svchost.exe (probably the extra services running) taskhost.exe WmiPrvSE.exe
Services that run during a normal boot, but not in safe mode.

I disabled the Windows Management Instrumentation service which in turn killed IP Helper and Security Center. This seemed to have no effect. Then I disabled the Desktop Window Manager Session Manager service. This had a huge effect on firefox and it is running alot better. Now it always loads my webpages. The delay before it loads webpages is still too slow. It was much faster in safe mode.

Experimental Features
I decided to uninstall waterfox, an old copy of firefox, and the developer edition I am using. Deleted the Mozilla folder in %appdata%/local and %appdata%/roaming. Unfortunately it reverted back to being really slow. The log I posted above is after deleted the old copies and reinstalling / updating the firefox developer edition I want to use.
I've ran into an issue with my pc and I can't get my display drivers to install no matter what I try. I think the problem is wininet.dll. I ran sf /scannow in command protect so windows would look for errors. I found other people with a large log (100+ lines of errors) and they say that is too many to manually fix you need to use the windows cd and run a repair. My log is thousands upon thousands of lines haha. My windows is trashed. chkdsk didn't come back with any errors but I have ran into problems with my hard drive before and I think it may have corrupt a bunch of data. Needless to say without display drivers I can't play my games, or do 1% of what I like to do on my computer. I have to reload. This will most likely fix all my issues with firefox. I will get back to you after the reload.
This may help. I think you need to run Windows in Safe Mode.
Checks a disk and displays a status report.
CHKDSK [volumepath]filename] /F /V /R /X /I /C [:size] /B
volume Specifies the drive letter (followed by a colon), mount point, or volume name. filename FAT/FAT32 only: Specifies the files to check for fragmentation. /F Fixes errors on the disk. /V On FAT/FAT32: Displays the full path and name of every file on the disk. On NTFS: Displays cleanup messages if any. /R Locates bad sectors and recovers readable information (implies /F). /L:size NTFS only: Changes the log file size to the specified number of kilobytes. If size is not specified, displays current size. /X Forces the volume to dismount first if necessary. All opened handles to the volume would then be invalid (implies /F). /I NTFS only: Performs a less vigorous check of index entries. /C NTFS only: Skips checking of cycles within the folder structure. /B NTFS only: Re-evaluates bad clusters on the volume (implies /R)
The /I or /C switch reduces the amount of time required to run Chkdsk by skipping certain checks of the volume.
