What kind of folders? If you mean that you want to use a bookmarklet to add a Firefox bookmark, I don't think scripts that run in the context of a web page (like a bookmarklet) have the permission to do that. You would need to find or write an extension.

Do you want to add bookmarks to a folder on the Bookmarks Toolbar?

You should be able to drag the "Site Identity Button" (globe/padlock) on the location/address bar to this folder to create a bookmark and bookmark the current tab.
