So, maybe I'm slow, but I keep reading how Firefox is so proud of its recent "upgrade" ... its new, clean look, etc. Well sure it's clean since it completely obliterated all the work I had put into getting my format/preferences just right!

Firefox then has the gall to tell users of the "opportunity" to re-do these formatting/tools functions by restarting with upgrade add-ons, etc. Huh? Every time I read this, my blood starts boiling ... how f*cking presumptuous Firefox is that they can simply destroy our data, and then so casually advise the USER to take more time and effort to re-do the process they thought they'd only have to do ONCE ... isn't that the whole point?! ... you set up your page preferences/functionality ONCE and then you don't have to worry about more brain-drain to redo it (including trying to remember how your prior set up --- now electronic vapor -- was optimized over time).

Does Firefox, know that when the create problems and the USER has to find solution, they are reaching in to the user's checkbook and unilaterally -- without even asking -- taking money from the user in the form of lost time from our primary work?? This just baffles me ... do they think we somehow get paid for fixing their screw-ups? Do they know that we users are losing money for every minute we are not able to earn at our job for the sake doing "one-time" Firefox setup/maintenance a second or third time? Are they really that clueless? How can they possibly believe we'd somehow be enthusiastic about an upgrade that destroys our formats, function and data??? Do they think that's a positive outcome for users? Do they somehow not know that some portion of FF users will switch to Chrome et al. based upon FF's naive, inconsiderate approach to users? It's simply appalling.

So, to all those who will now criticize me for "shouting" at the very people who are volunteering to help/support me/users ... save it. I don't want to hear from you, unless you can answer my one simple question that stems from the preface above.

HOW DOES A USER CONTACT AND CONSULT WITH AN ACTUAL FIREFOX CUSTOMER SUPPORT PERSON??? IF THE VOLUNTEERS ATTENDING TO THIS FORUM DO NOT HAVE AN ANSWER FOR THIS, THEN, SUFFICE TO SAY, ALL IS LOST AT MOZILLA/FIREFOX AND THE ENTIRE USER BASE SHOULD FLEE TO THEIR PREFERRED ALTERNATIVE -- WHO, YOU CAN BE SURE, WILL HAVE ACCESSIBLE DIRECT HUMAN SUPPORT COMMUNICATION AVAILABLE.

ANYBODY?

hello, this problem is not caused by an update but because you chose to refresh firefox. you have already received answers in your prior thread at https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1054109 on how to restore the old information. it's up to you if you want to follow those steps or not... also note that like most free/open-source products we cannot provide support over phone!
