I'm not sure what you try do on the about:config page.

You can find the setting of what items you want to clear when you close Firefox here:

Note that clearing "Site Preferences" clears all exceptions for cookies, images, pop-up windows, software installation, passwords, and other website specific data.

That are the privacy.clearOnShutdown.* prefs and you can see what changes to them if you modify the setting that I mentioned above.
