My FF has been crashing a ton latley. Trying to pinpoint why.

I uninstalled & reinstalled flash & java. The crashes seem to happen mostly when a page is loaded that has a lot of content displayed all at once (photos, embedded videos, etc.).

Firefox had been running flawlessly on my PC for years...not sure if the recent crashing is due to a recent update or what but i've been getting plugincontainer.exe errors a lot.

Below is the crash report...if someone can decipher it and tell me what exactly is causing it, it would be greatly appreciated.

I'm running XP SP3.

Thanks

hello CAP55, could you provide your latest few submitted crash reports? please enter about:crashes into the location bar, copy the latest few report ids from there starting with bp- & paste them here into a forum reply. this will give us a better understanding what may be triggering those crashes.

more options

Note that what you posted is information about your computer that is send to the Mozilla server as part on the crash data, but unfortunately doesn't include data about the crash.

If you have submitted crash reports then please post the IDs of one or more recent crash reports that have a "bp-" prefix:

  • bp-xxxxxxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxxxxxxxxxx

You can find the Report ID of recent crash reports on the "Help > Troubleshooting Information" page (about:support).

  • Click the "All Crash Reports" button on this page to open the about:crashes page and see all crash reports.

If necessary then you can open about: pages via the location/address bar.
