have adobe flash player on chrome but isn't working on firefox, cannot install it I get a message that I haven't got the permissions to do so.
I have flash player in google chrome but not in firefox. When I try to simply allow flash player in firefox it is not listed. I have the only account on my computer so I am the administrator yet it states I do not have sufficient permissions to install flashplayer although it is already on my computer. I will attach a .bmp screen shot of the error message, but this is what it says if you don't want to open a pic from someone you do not know. :)
"a required file (C:\Windows\SysWOW64\Macromed\Flash\FlashPlayerUpdateService.exe:5) could not be written due to insufficient permissions.

I have tried with my antivirus (Avast free version) running and also with it disabled.

hello, please try the windows exe-installer for plugin based browser from https://www.adobe.com/products/flashplayer/distribution3.html and see if this works to install the adobe flash player. otherwise you'd have to contact adobe's support since that doesn't appear to be a problem directly related to a mozilla product...

The Flash Player for Google Chrome is no good for Firefox, or IE either for that matter. Adobe makes three different versions of Flash and you need the correct version for the browsers you are using.
