Exporting bookmarks isn't working for me.

I've tried exporting my bookmarks to an html file several times now. The bookmarks.html file appears nowhere on my computer (I've searched for it). I know I've done this before (over a year ago) on previous versions of firefox but it doesn't work now. Would you help me troubleshoot this problem?

I found the problem places.sqlite file was corrupt. Regenerated the file and bookmarks will now export.
