I even let it run overnight. I have run Malwarebytes and Superantispyware and still get the same results.

Hello yknotagain, try to boot the computer in Windows Safe Mode with network support (also : http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2809468/en-us) and then see if that allows to download and install Firefox from the next link :

https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/all/

Hello yknotagain, try to boot the computer in Windows Safe Mode with network support (also : http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2809468/en-us) and then see if that allows to download and install Firefox from the next link :

https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/all/

Either that, or download Firefox 32 on the WinXP box and transfer the full-setup file to the Win 8.1 box via a USB drive.

Make sure you use the link that ideato provided (/firefox/all/), to get the full-setup file and not the stub installer which isn't the the full package.
