Whenever I hold down the mouse button or space bar to speed up a video by 2x, it seems to let out a small crackle / pop, it wouldn't be as annoying if it only happened one time but it happens practically anytime I do it, sometimes it's when I first press it down, and sometimes it's when I let go.

I've been using Firefox for years and never had this issue until like 3-4 days ago I'd say, and it's a small thing but it adds up constantly and makes the experience fairly annoying, I tested the audio on google chrome extensively and it doesn't seem to happen there so I have to assume it's a Firefox issue.

Would love to see if there's a way to fix this.

Tested on OpenSuse Tumbleweed both native & flatpak but also on latest live ubuntu image . After some seconds , with healthy buffer , video pauses/starts with new buffer , until it drops to 480p ignoring the manually 4K setting . When setting manually again to 4K , YT throws error . Blocking av1 and switching to vp9 fixes it . Hardware capable of running av1 (amd , rdna3 , rx 7800t) , local videos or using other chromium based browsers work fine .

While playing youtube vertical mini dramas I am facing issues with full screen view. It doesn't happens to go full screen after clicking/tapping for full screen mode. It onlyhappens full screen after rotation of the screen, which is not suitable to to see vertical dramas. Please clear this bugs which blocks the app to go full screen. Thanks.

Since yesterday, videos on NetMirror are not playing. Every video shows a “Video load failed” error. I have tried multiple times, but the problem is still happening. Please help me fix this issue.

The mobile version of Firefox comes with a player featuring a purple progress bar and all the basics, but there’s one thing missing: the ability to fast-forward and rewind. I use this a lot on news sites, for example, or when listening to podcasts on websites. Not being able to fast-forward in this way means I miss information or have to keep moving the bar until I find the exact spot. Is there any way to change this?

When I play YouTube videos in Firefox for Android, the video keeps pausing and buffering constantly. I have tried clearing browser cache and disabling all extensions, but the problem still occurs. My device is Android mobile phone. I hope to get help to fix this playback stuttering issue.

Столкнулся с проблемой при просмотре видео на YouTube в Firefox на Windows 11.

При переходе видео в полноэкранный режим панель задач Windows не скрывается и остаётся видимой поверх/под окном браузера. В других браузерах, например Google Chrome, такой проблемы нет.

Единственный способ временно решить проблему — нажать F11 и перевести сам Firefox в полноэкранный режим, однако это неудобно, поскольку я часто переключаюсь между вкладками и сворачиваю/разворачиваю браузер.

Проблема возникает именно при использовании стандартного полноэкранного режима YouTube.

Я могу предоставить все необходимые диагностические данные: сведения о системе, версии Firefox, настройки `about:config`, логи, скриншоты или любую другую информацию, которая может помочь определить причину.

Подскажите, пожалуйста, как можно диагностировать и исправить эту проблему?

After updating to 156.0, taskbar no longer hides it self on full-screen videos. I tried: Restarting the browser and computer Restarting the explorer process Enable/disabling auto hide feature on windows.

So far, the only way that my taskbar hides while i'm watching a full-screen video, is to have the whole browser on full-screen (F11).

Okay posted this into iOS but never got any proper help, so I'm guessing that was the wrong place to put this.

Whilst I'm watching a video, if said video is playing in fullscreen, it'll often fade to black during different parts, as whenever a flash happens or quick cuts (e.g. a film with lightning strikes, causes it to fade to black and it stays like that - then fades back in super slowly). It is SUPER annoying and it causes me to have to rewind if I miss something because of it (only for it to do it again and again)! I don't watch YouTube in fullscreen because of it, but it even does it in streaming services - but worse! I honestly have had enough of this, it is genuinely infuriating.

I'm on MAC air 2022 M2, macOs Tahoe 26.6.2 - and the most recent up-to-date Firefox update: Version 157.0 I usually put off updating Firefox because it signs me out of everything! Meaning I have to resign into all of my school things, streaming, YouTube, and even this page itself!

Now I've gone into a private window and tested it to see if it does the same thing - yes, yes it does do the same thing, I put on the same two YouTube videos and it did the exact same fading in the middle of it at the same exact timestamp!

Took this photo of the movie Cruella because I knew there was loads of flashing lights at one scene. You can see that the video is faded but the rest isn't. The second image is when I click multiple times to try and stop it! But it happens again directly after.

Please help me, this is really annoying and I've put up with it for too long :(

Hi! I have an problem with playing music on background. Here's more info: Device & OS: Device: Google Pixel OS: Android Browser: Firefox for Android (Mobile) Description: When playing media via background web players (e.g., Spotify Web, YouTube Music via background play extension), the current track plays fine. However, when the active track finishes, the next track fails to autoplay and enters a paused state. Playback only resumes once the screen is manually woken up / turned on. It appears Firefox is suspending background media execution or aggressively throttling background tabs/workers between track transitions when the OS enters a low-power/sleep state. Steps to Reproduce: Open Firefox Mobile on a Google Pixel device. Load a music player (e.g., Spotify Web or YouTube Music with a background playback extension enabled). Start a playlist and turn off the screen / lock the device. Let the current track finish playing. Expected Result: The next track in the queue should automatically start playing seamlessly in the background with the screen off. Actual Result: Audio stops completely when the track ends. Unlocking or turning on the screen immediately triggers the next track to start playing. Possible Root Cause: Android Doze mode / battery optimization aggressively throttling JS execution, Media Session API events, or Web Audio/HTML5 Audio tags in background tabs during track handoff.

So can you please fix it?😭

When I pull up videos, some of them run fine while the majority will stutter heavily. I'm not sure if they're av1 encoded but I tried the same videos with helium browser and chromium and they do not have this issue. I have "Use hardware acceleration when available" turned on and I use a 7800x3d cpu, rtx 5080, 64gb of ram, and 2tb of storage on an nvme m.2 drive. If anyone can find a fix for this it would be greatly appreciated.
