This has happened on two different video sites already. While watching a video, it will go extremely dark and happens randomly. I also get a weird blank window frame sporadically. I've unjustly been reporting this to one of the video sites until I noticed the same thing on Youtube.

Basically every time i play a livestream on YouTube, it lags a lot/constantly buffers and when i play it, when i press the live button to go to the livesteam's current time i guess. It just goes back to the previous time in the stream and idk how to fix it. Basically i disabled ublock origin & it still has issues on mobile =( also it sometimes happens on PC but mostly with ublock on. Unfortunately i can't screen record on mobile

I updated to Firefox v155 today and noticed immediately that video is washed out. Please see attached image. Firefox is on the left and Safari is on the right. I haven't updated my laptop yet and video looks 100x better.

Firefox tabs intermittently missing mute button when opening tab with audio/video. Doesn't matter if its on autoplay allowing audio or if audio is blocked.

Example: When opening kick, twitch, YouTube or any other tab with audio.

Sometimes the mute button will be available, and sometimes its not. If you duplicate the tab without audio sometimes the new duplicated tab will have the mute button.

The first time i noticed this issue is after the most recent update (154.0).

You can right click the tab missing the mute button and mute. The mute button then appears, until you click it to un-mute the tab. It then disappears and the only way to mute again is to right click/mute or type mute in the address bar.

(On android samsung, using mobile browser) When I use fullscreen mode on the mobile Youtube website, the fullscreen breaks the screen rotation mode when i leave the firefox app and bring it back into focus. It will force (if possible) all tabs currently open into horizontal mode, and I have to navigate back to that youtube page, click the fullscreen button, exit fullscreen, then navigate to other tabs to fix it... temporarily. If I leave firefox again and navigate to the same tab that had the bugged video, it will start to force horizontal orientation again. It does not do this all the time, but it does this often enough while I am watching videos.

I think everyone knows how to get out of full screen mode by now, so can you either remove it or let us disable that little box that always shows when you go full screen for a video?

I don't use the YouTube app, I prefer to use it via the website. When I do, I usually watch @ 1.25x speed, however, any time I leave the tab, on returning, playback speed reverts to normal time (always) &, sometimes, playback speed indicator will still be @ my selected speed

Any time I have another application open and I pause a YouTube video or music everything on my computer mutes. I tried to disable hardware media keys in config but that just mutes my entire browser

I am running 155.0.1 latest version at the time of this writing. I am able to log into Netflix, but cannot play content. Part of their trouble shooting was to disable and re-enable DRM (widevine). The problem is that now that I have done so, I cannot get widevine installed again. Is there a manual way to get this installed, clean up what Netflix was so gallant about messing up on my computer? I have seen some old and sketchy posts on redit and other places that suggest ways to do this, but they scare me. I searched the forums here, and didn't see anything that directly affected my question, although I might have missed it.

Please consider looking into this as it's really annoying, it had me consider using another browser just for this issue, I ended up considering opera for example which has a much better YouTube experience on mobile, which leads me to think this is a browser issue not YouTube issue. We love Firefox, please consider fixing this. Thank you.

I play videos in full screen mode everyday using Firefox. Recently when I move away from the full screen application to a different open window then the taskbar at the bottom of the screen does not appear. I just attempted to duplicate the issue and take some screenshots only to find that if I'm switching to a second Firefox window the taskbar does not show, but if I switch to a file explorer, or Excel Window then it does show. This makes things very difficult because I'm using the Snipping tool to take screenshots, and the Snipping Tool itself allows the taskbar to display.

I can't seem to get microphone and video to work I've checked the permissions and still it's not working. I need to sign a docusign with a notary and time is of the essence . I am about to throw the phone at the wall. please help

Whenever there's audio playing, such as in a Youtube video, there's also a faint continuous high pitched noise as well. This issue isn't present in other browsers, is there any way i could fix this?

I have a somewhat confusing issue that I've only found two posts on Reddit mentioning previously, but there were no responses.

A short summary: On Discord's website, in an audio call, audio will progressively move from stereo/both ears to mono/only the right ear after anywhere from five to sixty seconds. This only occurs on Firefox, it does not occur on Chrome or Edge (with the same extensions, when applicable.) For the record - this also only occurs with the one headset. I've tried with a second headset and don't have the same issue, but I don't believe the Headset is solely to blame since the issue only happens on Firefox.

I have also tested on Firefox Nightly as a fresh install - no extensions, no settings changed, just install and login to Discord.

Specs:

ASUS TUF Dash F15 FX517ZR HP USB-C G5 Essential Dock (Monitors are connected through it) Windows 11 (August update/build 26200.9168) Razer Blackshark V2 Pro RZ04-0453 headset (Connects via USB-A Dongle plugged in to the laptop) Firefox (x64) (154.0.1)

Troubleshooting steps I've taken:

Removing the Audio driver for my computer and re-installing it. Removing/re-installing the drivers for the Headset. Verified all audio related drivers for my device are up to date. Verified the BIOS is up to date (it's solved unusual problems before) Toggling the "media.latency_preference" toggle in about:config (recommendation from a friend) Disabling all extensions on Discord. Disabling Firefox's strict mode on Discord. Verifying all audio related drivers for my device are up to date. Tested on a Firefox Nightly install (the first time it's been installed on my device). A separate browser (Chrome/Edge - the issue is not present) A separate headset (Issue is not present) Downloading Razer Synapse and disabling any "extra" features, and testing with various options on/off. Disabling any and all other Audio devices (speakers and microphones) while using the headset. Charging the Headset to full.

Things I haven't tested, but thought of:

Resetting Firefox in any capacity - I can, but hopefully testing with Nightly is sufficient. A different computer entirely - on my list, when I can next. A new User profile. Testing with no headset at all, and just utilizing the built-in speakers/microphone for the laptop.

Oddities:

Changing audio settings in Windows will "fix" the issue momentarily - for instance the "Spatial sound" option. Changing from one setting to "Off" (or vice versa) fixes the issue for the same ~5-60 seconds until it slowly goes back to the right ear. These options are present for every device, even ones not experiencing this issue.

It's very odd to me because on one hand it may be the headset, but then the issue is only present in Firefox.

Any help or things to test would be greatly appreciated!
