I am being asked for for user name and password for pop-server@tampabay.rr.com, which I cannot recall. How do I change this so that I can access my email?

Bonjour je n'ai plus accès à Thunderbird. Un bug de l'éducation nationale m'a fichu mon compte thunderbird en l'air. Je ne trouve plus mon mot de passe... du coup je ne peux plus l'ouvrir. Je n'ai désinstallé et installé de nouveau mais toujours le même problème. Je suis sur mac... Merci d'avance Murielle

Good afternoon,

I'm setting up Thunderbird to replace Outlook. When attempting to send an email (though Microsoft 365 server), the send fails and asks me to reset password. I have searched in settings and account settings and cannot find where to reset the password.

Is there a chat assist available?

Earlier this year I downloaded Thunderbird and started trying to use it. Early on, I somehow set a password and I am not able to remember that password. So, at that time, I uninstalled Thunderbird and continued using my old Outlook 2016.

Recently, I realized that End of Life for Outlook 2016 was near or already here. So, I decided to try Thunderbird again. HOWEVER, Thunderbird still keeps prompting me for passwords – apparently looking back at my previous installation.

I would REALLY like to get out of my MS connection and continue with Thunderbird, but I am frustrated and can’t get in enough to reset the password/

All assistance and guidance will be very much appreciated.

hi i've just installed a new pc. trying to get thunderbird set up on new machine however i have forgotten password..... exasperated now! how do i get a reminder sent or where is the facility to enter fresh password... please help, very frustrating, getting to be annoying ! this message sent from 'old' machine. assistance will be massively appreciated . thanks .

Overnight, while computer was sleeping, Thunderbird appears to have forgotten the email password. A dialog box pops up when checking email "login to server pop.centurylink.net with username {correct email address displayed} failed." With options retry, enter new password, and cancel available. Retry simply loops back to this error. Entering the (verified) correct password has no positive impact at all. Program and computer rebooted, no change. Windows 11 Pro. Password was not recently changed.
