very recently perhaps with a McAfee or Thunderbird update , I am seeing a message that McAfee stops a threat every time thunderbird does a message retrieval. see attachments. I have checked my outlook account directly and deleted a bunch of messages but it persists.

When creating a new email and entering a recipient address, Thunderbird automatically suggests addresses after typing a few characters. However, in my case the auto-complete suggestions take about 10 seconds to appear after I start typing.

I am using Thunderbird version 149.0.1. My settings under Settings → Composition → Addressing are as follows:

☑ Local Address Books ☐ LDAP Server ☑ Automatically add outgoing recipients to: Collected Addresses Initial Directory for Address Book: Last Used Directory

I would like to understand what kind of search Thunderbird performs when auto-completing email addresses.

Also, if anyone has experienced the same issue, how did you resolve it?

Any insights or advice would be greatly appreciated.

I have one file folder that I moved certain files to that once read, they are not visible or listed in the folder. The folder massage count is 296. When I move an email into the folder and it is not read, I can see the message. Once read, it disappears. I can filter by attachments and contacts and see some but not all of the messages.

PRELUDE: Assume I have 4 email addresses. Two are with ISP and 2 are on my own LAMP server.

The ISP emails are (examples)

• bob@shaw.ca (ISP)

  SMTP Server
  Server Name shows  mail.betty.ca
  User Name: frank@domain.com (LAMP) !!!

• betty@shaw.ca (ISP)

• frank@domain.com (LAMP)
• dave@domain.com (LAMP)

ISSUE: I change settings for SMTP but they revert back to sending email through outside of ISP.

The TROUBLSHOOTER appears to have the lines mixed up - see screen cap. The screen cap. is heavily redacted for obvious reasons. But, I can take the time to replace name data to the example here.

I sure hope someone can figure this out because I don't want to divorce from a privacy respecting, real Email system to WEBmail eeew!

I am trying to edit my message separator line (which I added many years ago). Now there is a big gap in the line and messages. How can I reduce this gap please? Any advice?

Hello I want to use my calendar and adressbook from different PCs which have access to a common network device like P: So I intend to locate and use Thunderbird calendar and adressbook on dedicated device P:. Is there a way to achieve that? Thanks lot Thomas

Using https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1544905 as an example I placed this in my profile's userchrome.css and restarted thunderbird:

.calendar-month-day-box-current-month[relation="today"] {

   border: 10px solid red;

}

It seems not to be working in thunderbird 148.0.1 (64-bit on windows 11).

So I found the today panel in the debugger and added border: 10px solid red; to its element. That worked perfectly, as the attached image confirms. It also confirms the class is correct and that it contains the today relation.

I can't see the userchrome.css file in the debugger, which seems strange. But I edited the body colour in userchrome.css and that worked, so I know the file is being used. So why is the change to the today panel being ignored?

After TB update V. 149.01 (64 en-US), I am unable to send an EM. No "send" field is in a field, even after composing a message. Is it possible to un-do this update, to check if it is indeed the source of this problem? Thank you very much! TB user: kfincher9999@att.net
