How can I avoid the new android menu? I use Firefox heavily, and ALWAYS with the address bar at the top. I often hold the phone with 2 hands and use my thumbs. The new menu design is HORRIBLE for that usage style. I read in the project notes that this wretched (for me, not everyone) design will replace the current exceedingly useful one, with no other option. I am a long time FF user and I now dread the next update.

I'd like to revert back to the old style menu on mobile. How can I do that? The new menu is terrible and often requires twice as many clicks to do the same things as the old menu saving no time while also taking up more screen space as well as moving menu options around from where they've been for many years for some arbitrary reason.

Greetings:

An email I recently received doesn't show apostrophes correctly. The character is shown as a wing ding instead. The displayed character is a rectangle with an "X" inside it instead of an apostrophe. How can this be corrected? Thanks very much for your help!

The option to use the old menu instead of the horribly designed new one in 142 is currently hidden inside the "Nimbus Experiments" section that is only available once switching into debug mode.

This really needs to be made more visible so that users know they aren't (currently) trapped in the new one.

Is this where I express my unhappiness with foolish and unnecessary changes to the appearance of Firefox for Android? Please make an option in Settings for square shortcuts. I hate that every icon has to be in a circle now! And you put the word 'Shortcuts' on the homepage. Are you kidding me? That is just clutter! And please let me add more than two lines of shortcuts to the homepage. Swiping to a second homepage to see the rest of my shortcuts is ridiculous. It is better for me to have 10 or 15 lines of shortcuts on one homepage and I can swipe up or down to see them all. Thank you!

Hi guys,

Recently my hamburger icon menu (the one that has options like refresh, share etc) broke and all the options are massive. It looks incredibly stupid and is really annoying, is there any way for me to fix it without reinstalling the browser?

I figure this is the best section for asking this question, sorry if it isn't!

Thanks!

I use nav bar at bottom and with old menu having reload, back, forward all at the bottom of menu, it meant that I could use Firefox single handedly.

Now with the new menu design which is very nice and shiny (well done), all common actions are on top of menu, close to mid- top of the screen. This makes it hard or awkward to use it worth one hand.

Is it possible, to have the layout of menu adjusted when nav bar is at the bottom?

This post is a follow-up to a tech’s response regarding David Cote's Google Play comment: Following a recent update to my Samsung Firefox browser, the option to position the Address/Navigation Buttons at the bottom has disappeared. This setting was previously found under Settings > Customize. Interestingly, my Pixel phone still retains this feature, as shown in the images below. In contrast, the tablet's browser now displays the Address/Navigation Buttons at the top, along with "Tab" links, resembling the Firefox browser on my laptop. Visual examples are included below for reference.

The clickable area of URL bar for Firefox Android is way too small and narrow compared to Chromium based browsers. It's often irritating to accurately tap/click on the tiny narrow URL box area to access search mode. Especially on a regular basis. Below are the screenshots of layout bound margins comparing Firefox Android with Chrome Android URL bar margins.

Firefox Nightly on Android used to have a secret option to split the toolbar with the address bar on the top and the new tab, extensions, etc buttons on the bottom.

This feature was removed after 139.0a1 and hasn't returned. How to I restore this functionality?

I've been sitting on the older version for a couple months and would like to upgrade, but a combined address + toolbar is absolutely a deal breaker. Thanks!

No idea who is responsible for the UI on mobile devices (android in my case), but what I noticed lately, it starts to upset me. First of all, the url bar is clogged with icons and I can't even see the website address (screenshot attached). This needs to change. In my opinion, seeing the website url is really important, I don't want to see icons that I never use or use them VERY rarely. And my second issue, is that the bookmarks menu is at the top of the menu, and it's impossible to reach it with one hand using one finger. This should be put at the bottom, because in my case I use the bookmarks very often, and this annoyance really gets me. Also, regarding bookmarks, why can't we move the bookmarks up and down? We only have the delete button, but no moving options. Example - I have a folder named Movies with 10 saved bookmarks. Inside this folder I want to move 4 bookmarks down and 3 up. Can I do this on android? No. Why? Because. So, is it possible to add these BASIC functions in a future update? Thanks.

I hope Mozilla does not add another icon next to the address bar, otherwise it may not be possible to select the address... Do you know a way to edit these icons so they get out of the way? I would't mind disabling translation (not used) or share (accessible via main menu) and the spacing on the icons could use some work too
