When I open Firefox I get a message telling me "Failed to read configuration file. Please contact system administrator". When I click OK Firefox opens normally and seems to be fine. Not sure what is going on here. Any ideas why this is happening and how to get rid of it?

Alle behaupten ich hätte die neueste Version.Hauptproblem ist, daß seit dem 1.8.2024, 17.16 Uhr auf dem PC mit der Version 115 die Symbolleiste und alle Lesezeichen verschwunden sind. I cannot stay Signed In on Zoom's website (and I used to be able to). When I hover over the Information icon, I see a message that I have to enable Functional Cookies (see attached). I have cleared my cache and explicitly allowed Zoom, but no luck. I don't have this problem in other browsers.

I recently installed firefox on a new computer and it will not access the internet. Any access request gets the message "Hmmm. We're having trouble finding that site." We cannot connect to the server.... It says to check that fiefox has permission to access the web, but I do not know how to do that. How can I get Firefox to access the web? I do not want to have to use different browser, but will switch unless this is resolved.

With the latest release of Firefox the Extensions are no longer viewable above the toolbar. One in particular ScrollSave needs to be set (turned on) at the exact scrolled location and now this capability has been lost.

Any suggestions.

Does anyone out there know of a replacement for the Tab Groups replacement app? I have not updated Firefox past the v.55 only because I don't think it would work w/ any newer versions. I have found this to be the very best app I have ever used as I need to do a lot of research online and need something that will show all the windows and tabs on one page so I can easily go back and forth to a particular group quickly. Without this, I would have to spend hours finding the info and would only have one window in which to work. Ideally, a replacement would be able to use all the window/tab info I now have. Is there some way I could use this in some sort of legacy mode? I have several legacy apps, but can't readily recall how to do so. I think I tried this w/ the Tab Groups app and it didn't work, but am not certain. Suggestions much appreciated! Thanks, Wolfgang

I set up 4ows of shortcuts on the home page. Almost ever shortcut had an icon. Now all of the icons are gone except for youtube, ebay and amazon. Not sure what happened to the rest of the icons. Has this happened to anyone else?

I want to be able to open any links I choose in new tabs/windows, either with MMB or context menu. Many sites use JavaScript to thwart this - only allowing the link to open in the same tab. aboutconfig settings make no difference for these sites. Disabling JavaScript also fails as inevitably the offending website then won’t work at all. I have not been able to find an add-on which achieves my aim either.

It’s particularly annoying when there are a large number of links and I want to open all of them in new tabs. The only way I have found is to copy the URL of the offending page into a number of new tabs and then click the links in each tab.

I have Firefox set to reopen my tabs from the last session when it starts up.

However, I delete, open, and reuse/write over the address of many tabs, as anyone might, during a session.

When Firefox reopens my last session, it starts all over again as if no changes had occurred in the tabs during the last session, even though the browser has been open for hours or even days and, as I said, many tab changes have occurred.

This being frozen in time with the same startup tabs is time consuming and causes other problems, as all progress with work and things I'm researching is repeatedly lost an I must start over.

How can I get Firefox to open the tabs from the END of the last session and not the beginning?

(Note: Firefox used to open the tabs from the end of the last session with no problem, but at some point switched to opening tabs only from the beginning of the last session).

Firefox will not down load some email files says I need to uprgade butI have the latest upgrade but it looks like they think i am on windows 8 but I am on windows 10

My "PRIMARY" email address is WRONG -- cannot log in, cannot access Firefox Account, cannot do all the things offered by Mozilla. HOW DOES A LONG TIME CUSTOMER -- any customer -- GET HELP TO FIX THE PRIMARY ACCOUNT???????

I really do not understand how Firefox has survived so long with NO CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!

Maybe a gun to the computer would be the best way to eliminate the Firefox problems -- seems that way. Then on my new computer I can STAY AWAY FROM EVERYTHING FIREFOX OR MOZILLA. STUPID WAY TO TAKE CARE OF YOUR CUSTOMERS -- Oh, maybe that's my problem. I am NOT A CUSTOMER cause I don't pay you.

We are all just stupid flunkies to stay with such a dumb set up for so long (like the beginning of time).

Citibank says Firefox has to be restored?

I have the Bing search bar set for my home page on my Firefox Browser. I have had this setup for years with no problems until a couple of months ago. When I do searches for things and then try clicking on the "Clickable" links, I always get a blank page and the string for the website address(s) always begin with something similar to this; "https://www.bing.com/ck/a?!&&p="; please see image attached. This happens rather I try opening one or many sites/pages for comparison. Below are the steps I have tried & the reasons I believe that the "clickable" links are the problem.

I type in the Bing bar my search topic. Bing will give me a bunch of links related to my search. If I find the one I want or several I want to check out, I'll click on the 'clickable' link(s) for the page(s). Bing will automatically open the link(s) in a new tab(s). *I do have my browser set to stay on the page that I am currently working on*. But even if I go to those pages right away, I still always get a blank page.

I'll use searching for 'IRS help' for my search example: I have tried several ways to get the links to open & they are as follows:

1) Type in the site address myself in the new Tab and use my keyboards 'Enter' key to go to it: -- This works of course -- But seeing as some address are very long this is not always helpful

2) Click on the 'Clickable' link for IRS's site: -- Bing will open a new tab itself, but will show a blank page with the link issue listed above when I go to it -- Doesn't work, Blank Page

3) Highlight the 'Clickable' link, right click it and select 'Open link in new tab' option: -- Again Bing opens the new tab, Blank page and link issue -- Even selected to open it in a new window and I get the same thing

4) Highlight/copy the 'Clickable' link, I open a new tab myself, then I right click to 'Paste' link and hit enter: -- Doesn't work, blank page

5) Highlight/copy the 'Clickable' link, I open a new tab myself, then I right click to 'Paste & Go" link: -- Doesn't work, blank page

6) I copy the 'Non-clickable' written out address(i.e. IRS.gov/help for example), Paste it in a new tab that I open and the choose one of these options: -- "Paste & Go' or 'Paste' and use my keyboards 'Enter' key. -- Both work, no problem -- But when your in a rush, this too can be time consuming.

Please advise. Is there something I am missing or may have done wrong? I have had Firefox and Bing for a very long time like I said and I truly hate having to use the other browsers, etc. but I need to be able to get things done in a crunch some days and so this is driving me crazy.

Dear Sir/Madam Hi I live in Iran and I use the lovely FireFox browser for many years I have got in the trouble with Logins and Passwords on my browser. Last day, when I was working with my laptop while the Firefox browser, the Acrobat Reader DC and a text document were on the background suddenly I had to restart my laptop. after that, when I wanted to use the FireFox, I found out that all of the saved logins got lost and now there is no saved logins on my browser. I logged in my FireFox account again to recover the lost information, but unfortunately that was useless.

I have many important saved logins and passwords on my browser. Is there any solution? I need your help to solve this issue.

I have an older version of FF (V. 55) and am trying to find a way to transfer all my windows/tabs that I accumulated using the old "Tab Groups". Any help on this one also greatly appreciated.

None of the screens that I see re. "Strict Tracking"in the support pages work when I try them on my version. I want to change my tracking to "strict", but cannot find out how. Also, I see hundreds of trackers esp. every time when I have to use Google since that is the only one w/ which a few sites can deal. I am attaching a screenshot of the daily Adaware tracking cookie search that I schedule. If I had gone to Google, the difference would be that there would be hundreds, even from a short single visit w/ Google in the file name.

Any help re. either of these these two matters would be greatly appreciated. Wolfgang

I do not have any mobile device to sync with Firefox. HOWEVER, I would like to sync with Outlook.com from Microsoft. Centurylink my ISP provider was off-line for quite a while so they could create a better email program and when they finally came back online, last week, there were a list of things in computer language that I am supposed to do but do not understand. Like you, whenever I want to ask a question I have to send it via email then the response is the same thing listed in their instructions, NO HELP at all. Now, on a daily basis, I am receiving emails from Microsoft Outlook stating "Please update your credentials for the account Rhonda89@q.com." "It looks like we don't have permission to get email for Rhonda89@q.com."

The daily emails from Microsoft Outlook started on October 24, 2022, about the time Centurylink Email came back on line, I think. They did not send any messages advising us of this. I happened to find the information when I looked for it online.

I am still attempting to reach someone at Centurylink for help...lol

In the meantime, is there anything you can do to assist in this endeavour.
