bold textEvery time I start the cimpouter I lose my bookmarks how can I avoid this issue. Each time i takes about two hours messing about to get them back

Switched on vertical tabs in the latest Firefox release (149.0.2) and noticed a bit of an annoying issue with the bookmark toolbar. If setted only on new tabs - it push all ui of vertical tabs down, and when you switch - it's going up again. I’ve attached a GIF to show what I mean.

I’ve enabled the option to show the bookmark bar only on new tabs, along with the vertical tabs setting. This behavior doesn’t seem right to me — I’d expect the bookmark bar to sit beside the vertical tab sidebar without shifting it. The current design is pretty frustrating.

Is there any way I can fix this? I think it's a clear bug in UI. Thanks!

Pages stop on Youtube. Videos won't start or stop after a few seconds. My first choice in browsers has become so unreliable I may be forced to stop suing it after all these years.

For some weeks now, the "File" menu randomly opens by itself then closes a second or two later. It seems to happen once I get focus on a page. For example, if I open a new tab then go to Google and ask a question, once the answer is returned, within a second or two the File menu drops down then closes again. I have the latest version of FF (149.0), 64-bit under Windows 10. There are a couple of settings in about:config that were suggested to be changed by ChatGPT but this hasn't made any difference.

I am using windows 11, after the latest update 149.02 I am unable to log into CIBC (Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce) account it gives me error message 0001 with an exclamation mark on the screen, tried disabling all add on no luck,

I'm getting the following error message:

The bookmarks and history system will not be functional because one of Firefox's files is in use by another application. Some security software can cause this problem.

I don't know what prompted this concern on my Windows 11-based laptop, but I only noticed this last night doing some research for another issue. I don't have any of my bookmarks showing up in the bookmarks section, nor will it allow me to click the star on any tab to bookmark the page. I have restarted and shut down my laptop several times and this is not solving the concern. Let me know if you need more information or if I need to start this inquiry again elsewhere, but again it sounds like the same concern.

I have included a screenshot of the exact error for accuracy's sake. Like everyone else here, I'm trying to get my bookmark and history access back up and running but not sure how to go about it.

I couldn't get past the first fix suggestion because I am not sure how to restart Firefox (https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/fix-bookmarks-and-history-will-not-be-functional?as=u&utm_source=inproduct&redirectslug=The+bookmarks+and+history+system+will+not+be+functional&redirectlocale=en-US). I have restarted my laptop several times but the issue still persists.

Please advise.

Ironically, I am not having this issue on my older PC that is still operating on Windows 10. I can view history and access or add bookmarks with no concern to my knowledge.

Recentty reset my computer and reinstalled Firefox For some reason the look was off so I went to edit it And ever since the a Firefox has been very defective I will try to post a screenshot to share with you. I have uninstall and reinstalled and that did not fix the problem Still the same issue When trying to apply a new theme those themes won't apply. Refresh Firefox to see if the new thing would apply and no it did not. I don't wanna reset my computer just to get Firefox working again. I'm debating Using Revo Uninstaller to fully uninstall Firefox and registry Just see if that will fix it but I will wait to see what you guys say. Firefox is my first choice when it comes to browsers. I can still use it I just don't like the look of it right now I only blame myself. All I want instigate Firefox to a default look how do I go about that. I'm very good with computers so as long as you explain to me I will know how to do it. Thank you.

Currently if I have the Forfox built-in VPN turned on when using my Xfinity email account, I regularly (and annoyingly) get the "server unreachable" error message. I understand this is not uncomman. Is this issue being addressed before release of the final version?

Every time I want to search an item or word, you now take me out of the search bar and throw me on to the address bar, which I really have to struggle to read. This has been going on now for quite some time. my question is WHEN ARE YOU GOING TO FIX THIS PROBLEM?? I DON'T WANT TO HAVE TO GO TO config TO DO IT MYSELF. FIX IT ON YOUR END NOT MINE! Default homepage is yahoo. Since the update to version 149, if I do a search from yahoo, the new tab that opens with the search result is blank most of the time. I have to click reload for the search results to show up.

Is anybody else having that problem? Seems to be yahoo search specific but not 100% sure.

I installed the latin dictionary, but now my spell checker only uses that, and i cant delete the dictionary, and i cant get it to use English, even though english is still in the settings in general-language.
