Hey all,

after 3 years I finally did a complete reset (all folders were kept, only full software reset) of my system hoping that Firefox Sync would after I reinstall Firefox and put in my registration data remember all my bookmarks / logins. However, after my login there is nothing there. I have the suspicion that Firefox thinks I just deleted all my bookmarks and it updated to Firefox Sync accordingly not with an empty space. I still have the data on my android phone which hasnt done a synchronization yet. Any help you guys can give me? Took quite some time to get all my setup arranged.

When I type about.config in the address bar, I just see search results for it, instead of going to the config page. I tried enabling a separate search bar in settings, and also turned off all suggestions, but that did not help. I still see the spyglass search icon on the address bar. How do I get past it?

I have been using code (stored in the Chrome folder of my profile) to keep the 'open application menu' pancake button on the left end of the toolbar. After I updated to version 113.0.1 today, I see that button shifted back to the right end of the bar. I do NOT want it there. Can you fix it so the code will work again? Is there alternate code or some other means to accomplish the same end?

I'd like to select Outlook as my default preference for mailto - but it's not in the list.

Could you please help me how I can add it there, so mailto events will use my installed outlook client?

Accidentally clicked on the Add-ons widget on the right side of the menu bar and now "add-ons manager" web page opens every time I open Firefox.

How do I stop that page from loading?

I use Pinterest quite a bit and somehow a great deal of pins have disappeared.

This happened once before when I was using Chrome, and I was able to go digging into my cached files and find the cached versions of the thumbnails of my Pins, so I could somewhat recreate them based on that.

I'm not sure how to go about that with Firefox. Would any information (specifically images) be stored from a previous version of a webpage?

I've just had to completely reinstall windows without being able to backup my files (I couldn't launch my computer in order to actually back them up) meaning I've lost my recovery codes. I thought this would be fine as I could just sign back into firefox on this new install of Windows but as it turns out I must've forgotten to put my sign in information into my password manager. Again, I thought this would be okay as I still have access to the email I used to sign up to my firefox sync but I got the message saying I'd lose my data which isn't fine and now I'm at a bit of a loss. I've had to use a spare email to make an account and ask here but I'd really love my old account back. Is there any way at all I can get back into my account without losing my bookmarks and passwords? If not, how much information would I end up actually losing? I'm slightly unclear on that part. Do I lose absolutely everything? I'm a bit stressed about all of this ontop of losing all of my old computer files so I'm sorry if this is a commonly asked question but I was struggling to find anything that helped me D:

i cant move the tabs around in the task bar. my firefox version is up to date, but yesterday-ish my laptop forcibly updated itself. its still on windows ten, but thats the only thing i can think of other than installing a kidpix four emulator that may have caused the problem

Since `monospace` means something diffrent on every device, and I need consistency between clients I use `Roboto Mono` on my Website as ASCII-Art font. For some reason Firefox on Windows cannot render the font properly (view image). What can i do to fix this? The problem presists across my desktop and Laptop. How do I permanently remove this new Bing search engine from Firefox Browser? I don't like Bing. I go into settings, and change my default search engine to Google. But, the moment I search for something it shows that its Bing in the top left corner of the page. I can't get rid of it. Please help! I really don't like Bing! It has never fully helped me find what I'm looking for, or been thorough when searching for what something means. Can you please help me remove Bing from Firefox Browser? I sent 2 images showing what I mean. The first shows me wanting to use google to search for a word. And, in the second is what happens after I do that. You can clearly see Microsoft Bing in the top left corner. Thank You for any and all of your help & time!

I didn't change any settings there.

in the manifest.json of the extension, it does open the settings.html page as intended. Problem is that no JS script on settings.html works, be it if it's inline HTML or as a separate file (I tried separate file, as I thought it might be a security thing).

I mean even simple JS such as console.log or

Other actually installed extensions - their JS on settings pages runs.

I also tried running settings.html as a popup, and I succesfully done so, it's just that once again JS didn't work...

I'm at my wits end, I have googled, I have chatted with the ChatGPT, took me hours thinking it was something wrong with my code... I'm actually making something useful, never done before (it reads out youtube subtitles via TTS, providing ability to still hear original sound, its emotions, no need to look at the screen and it's also a passive language learning type of thing), and it works, it's just that setting page's JS, which I think I need to allow users change speed of TTS and volume of the TTS

After update to Firefox 113, the width size of search-engine-textbox on Overflow Menu is no full size anymore.

Before update to Firefox 113 (version 112 or older), the width size is still normal: full size; like search-engine-textbox on Toolbar.

Hi. When opening the Microsoft Website (answers.microsoft.com) i experience some memory leaks. See photo for details.

Someone knows why?

I been having problems with firefox using up most of my cpu while browsing some websites and it doesn't even load as fast as before. This has been happening for a few days now. Prior to this, firefox was fine and loading pretty quick, but these last few days have been painful.

Thinking that was a small bug, i restarted my computer. Before opening the firefox again, I opened up task manager to check how much resources will the browser be using. Before that usage would be normal and not even close to high, but opening firefox and waiting a few seconds to let the home window appear, the task manager showed that it was using all of it still.

I browsed some other help questions on this website and disabled "Use recommended performance settings", because that was one of the solutions on one of the relevant questions. But even that didn't do reduce resource usage either. Is there any way to fix this or will I have to suck it up and suffer with slow loading?

On 112, I had my css set up to make the status bar hidden and only show the url path when I moused over it in the lower left corner of the window. It also cut itself short to only the length of the url similar to the www.wikipedia.org box in the attached picture. After upgrading to 113, my browser has this black bar at the bottom. When I cleared out my css file, urls would show up in the bar when I moused over them. I've tried a few different css fixes but none of them will get it back to how I had it working in 112. The picture attached is what I'm getting in 113 right now with the css below. the black bar below the mouse over url goes all the way across the window and is always visible. Hello all. Since the update to Version 113.0 I have been getting an error in my Event Viewer which is Event 2 Firefox Default Browser Agent . I am now on Version 113.0.1 and still get this error. Firefox is my default browser. Below is an image of what I see in my Event Viewer and also the full view of the event itself. I seem to not be having any problems with the browser but I was wondering if anyone could shed some light on why this is happening or forward to the Devs.

I run Firefox on a #Windows 10 Dell laptop. I have a question and a problem, both of which involve Private Browsing.

Question: Does Screenshot work in Private Browsing? If so, how do I enable it.

Problem: When I'm in Private Browsing, my headphones aren't recognized; in normal browsing,the headphones are recognized. is this a Firefox problem or a Dell problem?

Till version 112 I used this in my userChrome.css to get back the close buttons on tabs, but only when I hover over them (active or inactive tabs): .tab-close-button{ display: none } .tabbrowser-tab:not([pinned]):hover .tab-close-button{

But now with version 113.0.1 it doesn't work at all and no X appears when I hover over my tabs.

I tried adding #tabbrowser-tabs[closebuttons="activetab"] on top of the previous code, but it made the X appear all the time.

How could I update this code so I get the desired result only when I hover over a tab?
