I have a HUGE problem

My sign-in email address does not exist any longer and I have no clue how to get rid of it.

I try to change the email to my secondary email but it wants to send a verification to the old email address.

I can't do that because the eprmary email doesn't exist unless someone else owns it, lord I hope no one has it.

So how can I get rid of the dead email address? How do I make my secondary email the only email address? I can always add a secondary later.

Without this I cannot sync all my Firefox settings & bookmarks across all my devices!

I have added firefox@accounts.com to my gmail verified adresses, so I don't know what's wrong. I went through the same confirmation process on my LG G6 (Android 8.0) and everthing works fine. But when I try (on many occasions) to sign in on Firefox Sync on my laptop (with the same email and login of course), I need to wait for the confirmation email, which never comes.

I am using a PC with Windows 10 (well two actually) with synced accounts on an iPhone and an iPad.

I have had problems with Firefox Sync for a while.

I often reinstall operating systems I use. After each reinstall, I try to sync to my account. I get denied. The email gets returned.

I have bypassed this problem a number of times. I am not sure about the exact solution, but either waiting for 24 hours since last attempt to login or fiddling with Firefox Sync settings through my phone which is already logged in seemed to have helped.

Fiddling with phone settings does not work anymore. It may have never worked. I have not waited 24 hours since last attempt to login as well, so that could be the fix I am looking for. However, the main problem I have, is that I cannot bypass it in any other way. I am able to login to Firefox Screenshots for example with my account, but I cannot sign in to my Firefox account itself. It is not a good user experience.

I understand that this might be used for my own sake, to protect my account from potential intruders...however, I am very dissatisfied with not being able to sign it to my account for over couple of days because of such restrictions.

I do not think anyone can do anything about this, it will probably require redesigning existing safety measures just to deal with this obscure problem. I will wait for 24 hours and will update this post after I get the result. Maybe I can help someone else who is on the same boat as I am. I could not see similar problem on the internet other than a few, of which did not portray the problem in a way that I found relatable.

But maybe there is another way unbeknownst to me.

But I kept being told my Username/Password were wrong so I clicked on Forgot password, then Forgot Username and both times there was an on-screen message "email has been sent" but I didn't receive it. SOS please!! Thanks

 I downloaded  fire fox on my new lab top and added the new password on it now both  lab tops won't accept the new password , I finaly had a link sent to my Email to change the pass, I did that 3 times was told it was sussess took me to login were was told pass did not match

When I saw that I had no secondary email filled in I tried to add the one I usually use but the message said this account already exists. I know it does because I have been sent messages to that (the secondary email) when there was a problem. I'm stuck. I have no idea what to do.

Hello, I am aware that Mozilla has gradually been updating there system. I have not used my system for two months or so and on my return, i am gainind entry to to my Mozilla link. As a consequence I am trying to get reconnected and get back on line. For this reason, I thought that I should relog in and get back to normal, but I am unable to find the route into mozilla to do that. Please advise me on the recommended route I should use, to rectify the connection problem.

I am unable to login to firefox to sych my ipad 3 mini (IOS 12.0) after deleting my private data, and either with/without a vpn. Firefox login popup frame says I must use my “primary account,” and I am using my “primary account.” I tried resetting my pwd & Firefox popup asked for an authentication code... I provided the code, it failed and Firefox then repeated complaint to use my primary account.

Perhaps my account is locked, or otherwise in a state of snafu. Firefox support is bizzar in avoiding contact with humans.

Any ideas would be appreciated - including some means to contact a firefox to interact with that’s human.

This is so frustrating. I try logging in to my firefox account,says incorrect username or password. So I request an email to reset password & never get it. I've checked spam,etc. the usual suspects nothing there. I'm using a @icloud email if that's of any help. I used the same email to set up this account so I could post on here and it worked fine. Everytime I try to reset my password it says it has successively sent a link to the same email address but nothing, not a thing. Anyone, thanks in advance for your help. Oh' yeah, windows 10, dell laptop, firefox version 59.0 !
