For some reason, when I started my computer this morning the tabs were all bright blue. When I click on another window and change focus, it reverts to the light gray that it should be, however going back resumes the problem. Starting in safe mode does not help, and turning off hardware acceleration does not help. I have restarted both the browser and my computer, and the problem resumes. The only thing that seems to change it, is when I change it to certain themes like space, who completely change the color of it. The default, dark, and light themes all are affected by this bright blue tab bar.

So, I am just curious why the support for full themes was removed? Those themes were actually useful, they made the buttons better sometimes, they made the browser easier to look at without the bright white background that will eventually make someone go blind. Sometimes they added cool functionality, in general they were a heck of a lot more useful than whatever it is you are pushing currently, and they looked 10,000 times better than anything you are pushing currently.

A few days ago, I was testing a dark theme related add-on, but since uninstalling it, have had this issue where my theme seems to be stuck as the Dark theme that naturally comes with Firefox. When attempting to change my theme in the customize window, mousing over the Default theme does show the proper colors for it, but selecting it still shows the Dark theme colors. I tried examining my Add-ons manager, where it shows that I am still using the Default theme, despite the colors clearly belonging to the Dark theme. I can freely change to the Light theme without issue, but for some reason, the Default one refuses to load properly. I have since tried uninstalling all my Add-ons, deleting my profiles, and uninstalling Firefox before restarting my computer, but to no avail. The Add-on I was examining initially was the Dark Night Mode add-on. Examining the page info, it does say it is not perfect, and their home page says that there are complex issues with getting it to work with Firefox, but I was unable to find more information on this offhand, nor any descriptions of scenarios like mine. I believe the initial settings for my Default theme came from some setting based off my color scheme I have set for my computer themes in general, based off my background, but I was unable to find more information on this at the time. The screenshots I am including are of my Add-on manager showing that I am using the default theme, the customize menu showing the Default theme when highlighted in the drop down menu to change it, and the result that displays when the Default theme is selected. Any ideas on why this issue is occurring, and how to fix it, would be appreciated.

Some web pages like LinkedIn for example show a dark solid red background with black lettering.
I tried installing a theme and changing the settings in Firefox.
Opening the same pages in Chrome, they are normal and not red.
Could not find any articles on this other than ones pointing to themes.

In Options->General->Language and Appearance->Fonts & Colors I see some colors and some fonts to choose from a dropdown menu. I'm glad to have the option to be able to customize the browser's appearance, but if we have the ability to customize it, why not go all the way and let us the ability to add custom colors/fonts? (in fonts it really would required a 3rd party addition, whether it's a downloaded font or a Firefox add-on, but with colors it's simply giving us the full RGB instead of a selected few). Thanks in advance.

On just about any web page I work on, after this recent upgrade to 60.2.1esr on my Macbook Pro, I cannot find the text input boxes. There is no outline visible at all until I click somewhere inside the "invisible" box to make it visible. This tiresome... And additionally, the colors seem so washed out - tables and spreadsheets are so hard to read now! I tried some of the available themes but they didn't help any.

- I started notice the problem when I first installed Firefox Quantum 61 on previous Mojave beta, the screen is all black and nothing seem to be clickable.
- Today after a blog stating that Firefox 62 was ready for Mojave I downloaded the update but unfortunately I am still getting the black screen window. except that this time when hovering on the windows I can actually click on some button like the one asking if I wanted to set firefox as default browser, note that this was blindly as I can't see anything.
I restarted Firefox in safe mode, all I get is a small pop-up window that is black as well.
I am using a MacBook Air early 2014 running the latest Dev Beta of Mojave. All the browser work just fine, chrome, safari and so on.

I'd like the ability to sync more themes to my Firefox Sync than I can now, especially since starting with Firefox 64.0 Stable's release on December 11, 2018, I plan to contribute one picture cropped to 3,000 pixels across by 200 pixels down taken by my good friend Carol M. Highsmith to the available Firefox Themes bi-weekly of New York (especially downstate), New Jersey and Connecticut to start with.

After I installed the 57 version I was really disappointed about the "dark" theme since the only dark area was the tab. Which is not dark at all. It simply hurts my eyes to look at such a bright browser, especially in the dark. Is there any way to make Firefox really completely dark?
There was another post before (https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1192351#answer-1043824), however I was confused as to what to do. Any help is appreciated.

HI, I think this going on less a year. I noticed sometime the menu bar blacken out for a second and return to white color, other time it just stay blacken till I use the mouse to click on the website and it change the color back to white.. If you want to get an idea what I'm talking about, move the mouse cursor while you're on Firefox and click on Taskbar you'll noticed that the Menu bar on Firefox will become black, and when you click on the website it'll go back to white its sort of like tabbing out.
Sometime when I go other room and come back I noticed the Menu Bar blacken out and it stay that way till I click on the site. The thing is while I'm typing when it does that, that when it making the beeping noise to prevent me from typing anymore till I click on the site. This is kinda of annoying.
Does anyone had this problem? How do I stop from doing this? I may be wrong, I think the reason it does this.. it is to check on the software update.. like Video Card update or Anti-virus update.
Thank you for your time xswordsmanx

Ever since Quantum came out, I have been hoping they would release an update to allow customized complete themes or full skins to be usable once again. So far that has not occurred. Can someone please explain to me just what the taboo of allowing complete themes past the old Firefox is? You can still find legacy skins available, but they will always come up as incompatible to the current browser. I would like to see a definitive answer to this, not the constant redirect I keep finding to how to use the current theme set up which is just to change the look of the control bar at the top. Thanks in advance!

Hi,
I'm pretty new to all this, but I decided I'd give themes a go anyway. Most themes I've seen have either had the url bar the same colour as the background, or just a light grey colour with the background an image. I was wondering if I could, say, have the currently selected tab and the url bar red and the other tabs and background grey, or something of a similar sort? This might be plainly obvious and I'm just asking a stupid question, but I've read through some of the articles on themes at developer.mozilla.org as well as looking at the tabs api, in case that had anything, but I still can't see anything that explains anything like what I'm wanting.
I'm hoping this is a thing and not just something I've thought of that isn't available yet. Any help would be appreciated

I'm running Firefox 62.0 on Linux. I'm using the Light theme, but the menu bar and drop down menus have suddenly changed to dark. How do I get them back to a light background with black text? btw - when it changed, I couldn't read the menus because they were black text on black background. After trying a variety of themes, which didn't affect the menus, somehow they changed to black background with white text, so I can at least read them.

This weekend, I want to add images of New Jersey from the Carol M. Highsmith archive to what's available for Firefox Themes, as well as images of New York State once they become available for download in about three months from today. All of her wonderful images of the United States are free use. Unlike most photographers, she loves it when her images are all over the Internet. I would check her out and download all you want of the United States of America when you get a chance. http://www.loc.gov/pictures/collection/highsm/
