I updated my desktop browser today and now there is an expandable sidebar at the left margin of the window showing tool icons for Tabs from other devices, History and Customize sidebar. I can see how to remove tool icons and how to expand or collapse sidebar but can I remove the sidebar completely? Is this an option? I prefer the old look with the browser web page content extending all the way to the left of the screen, without the narrow vertical sidebar.

A sidebar has appeared out of nowhere. I removed all extension on that sidebar and it still doesn't go away. I already have a bookmark bar and extensions at the top bar. I don't want another sidebar at every firefox window. How do I remove the sidebar, please.

Out of nowhere I got the sidebar today. An absolutely useless feature that I surely did not ask for. And there is no way of closing or removing it. Please provide a guide, to removing or hiding it PERMANENTLY!

I prefer the tabs be below the bookmark bar, and successfully modified the CSS file to do this some time back. Now update 133 has once again pushed them up below the menu bar. What do I have to do to get them back where I want them this time? And why can't you just leave the tab location preference alone when doing updates?

Can someone please tell me how to disable the new Sidebar? It is interrupting all of my workflow on the screen and it is frustrating with all of the choice and customization options in Firefox, that there would be no way to disable it.

How do I remove or permanently hide the sidebar? It is currently taking up too much of my screen space and I can already access my bookmarks without needing them to be accessible on the side. Please make a user friendly version that allows people to easily remove the sidebar. Customizing so that it still stays there is not helping.

Today when I launched the browser, a sidebar appeared. No matter what I tried, I can't remove it, it really gets in the way, I searched for information all over the Internet, but I still couldn't find any information. How can I remove the sidebar?

I use Firefox with navigation bar hidden in Linux Web Apps (in Linux Mint > Web Apps :: where you can create apps from any web page). I particularly use Notion as an app. And recently, I guess with the new updates, there is showing an address bar where previously there was nothing. Is there a way to remove it?

I recently upgraded to the latest version 132.0.2. There's a vertical sidebar on my browser that I would like to remove. I looked into the customize sidebar settings but can't seem to find a way to remove it completely. I've also attached a screenshot. Any guidance would be appreciated. Thanks!

With a FireFox update a few months ago, the options on the screen to clear your history have changed from this to this.

Can anyone tell me how to restore the previous screen or "Offline Website Data" option ?

I recently updated to ESR 115 and then to ESR 128.2 and I noticed that there's no Ublock Origins icon. I checked my settings and was shown to a window of installed and suggested add-ons and there I found an entry for Ublock Origins with a blue on button marked, nevertheless, I can't find where it is and I can no longer find any window showing what it's blocking.

I've read about this in earlier threads, one from 2019, one from 2021.

I would like the Ublock Origins to be visible and also to be showing what it's doing. It used to show a number of hits that would go up with each website that was open, as it was blocking things.

I'm using a win64 windows 10 22H2

Hello, The typeface/font size on the browser tabs and booksmarks are TINY, like maybe 4pt font in context. I've seen some solutions posted (and archived) as recently as Sept. 2023 but I've tried dozens of times and they still do nothing. The font size adjustment choices in Mozilla / Firefox settings adjust the font on WEBPAGES themselves, NOT the still-maddening teensy tiny font at the top of the webpage, where it frankly really counts. HELP!

Hi Ive just noticed today that at the top of the settings Firefox page it say 'Your browser is being managed by your organisation'. It say that its 'Active' when I click on the link it states the following

Active Policy Name Policy Value Certificates ImportEnterpriseRoots true

And when i click on documentation there is a very long list of topics under the heading Documentation Policy Name

Can someone please help? firstly what is this ? What is it doing on my laptop? I have never noticed it before. Is it spyware - is it dangerous do i need to get rid of it? Ive attached a screenshot

I am currently using Microsoft Edge and am looking for a new browser to use. I went through the trouble twice now in setting up Firefox the way I want to work and for it to open certain bookmarks every time I open it. But 2 times now I have closed Firefox and reopened it and each time it not only fails to open the bookmarks I have setup, it also loses the other settings I setup and acts like I am setting it up for the first time. If I can't get this problem fixed I guess I will start looking at other browsers.
