Firefox supportforum

Since the last update of Firefox, it will not open up (upon launching) with my Homepage displayed. Only a blank tab and then I have to click on the little "home" icon for my home page to be shown. I have tried repeatedly changing home screens in the options settings, still no help. Somewhere there must be a "Firefox Startup" ini or something.

No matter how I log in (logged-in Firefox, Chrome, incognito Chrome/Firefox) at monitor.firefox.com, I always get this error.

I have literally tried everything that I've found about printing issues on this forum and even spoken to your team on Twitter. I don't know what to do. I would rather use Firefox over Chrome, but I don't have a choice. Is there anyone that can help??

I used to be able to see my bookmarks with just one click. Now it takes five???????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????

So I can't set what page my browser opens to when I click the new tab + icon by just going into settings? I have to jump through hoops and install some plugin? I can set it in chrome. Bye Bye Firefox.

Using v. 67.0 on Win 7 no matter what page I am viewing, if I leave to look at a different page, then come back, the page reloads. It is especially annoying when clicking on a link in an email. Note I do not have to sign back in. I just have to wait for the page to reload. It only recently began doing this. How do I fix it ?

I just started to use Firefox and am having a problem seeing the video for Fox and CNN News. Youtube works great, best picture I've seen. The links work good on Chrome, but, when I play them on Firefox the video seems to have a black box across the screen. I can see a very small top and bottom section, that's all. I have the lastest Firefox, Flash and Shockwave. I have disabled the Adblocker and the Ublock with no change. I've searched the forums and cannot find an answer, or I'm subject blind.

Any ideas

My "Finish Creating Your Account' email is in code so I cannot confirm my email or do what ever it is directing me to do. Note: I have had to sign in with a different email to be able to send an email for support. Colin

As per everytime I update Firefox I end up spending hours trying to sort issues out and ending up in a foul mood. Everything was fine in 65, I update to 67 and I'm not sure whether I want to scream or cry more.

Issue 1. I lost Adblock plus, I managed to reinstall and lost all my settings that I can't recover. Years of settings gone. All other apps as far as I can tell are still installed so why did adblock get deleted with all the settings?

Issue 2 I can't see addons on the addons page. Same goes for themes and plugins. I've done safe mode where I can see them. I updated them in safe mode. But still can't see them. They were fine in ver 65.

Any ideas? Thanks

There is already an indicator in the tab and one in the windows taskbar so I don't need a third one that is floating on the top of the window. How do I disable it?

Since I posted this query, I kept trying things and went to the mouse properties and changed the speed of the double click. This seems to have fixed the problem. I am going to try and close down the question.

I accidentally moved to firefox 67 (64 bit) from (x86). Now, when I left click, the mouse frequently double clicks. Not all the time, but most of the time. For example, if I click on a drop down, it drops and then immediately closes. If I click on the zoom, it will skip one level and go up or down two levels.

I only have one ad-on, AdBlocker, and I disabled it to see what would happen , but it had no effect on the double click.

I downloaded FF again because my Ff history was disappearing & maybe that interfered with my FF. I can only get my FF history & bookmarks back by logging in with the link sent with am email telling me my user name but not instantly. I changed my password which may or may not be relevant. I have the latest Kaspersky & a 2 year old Dell XPS

So, for the past couple of weeks, after every 3-4 days, I go to open Firefox, and all my add-ons and settings keep getting reset.

It's a weird thing. I have my add-ons, my customized settings, and everything is working fine. But after a couple of days, I open up firefox and it's like I'm starting from 0.

I mean, my history, bookmarks, passwords, all remain intact.

But everything else is gone. All my extensions open up a tab saying "now installed!" or something along those lines - plus a tab from Mozilla, today about the privacy notice.

My homepage, search and download settings are back to the defaults.

I have tried to refresh my browser, reinstalled my extensions, but still the same issue.

Help?

I noticed that, on every website, the native UI quantity arrows are not properly displayed anymore and almos unusable (See the screenshot). I use Windows 10 Family 1809 - Firefox 67.0.1 (had the same problem with 67.0.0). I don't have the problem with Chrome I tried disabling every Firefox addons, 2 sreens (high-res/retina or normal), both normal and private browsing. No luck It doesn't seem to be related to the website I'm browsing as it's also wrong on your MDN related page, for instance).(https://developer.mozilla.org/fr/docs/Web/HTML/Element/Input/number).

I am trying to open a link to a .m (MATLAB) file directly in the Firefox browser (from a local site).

On windows this works fine and when the link is followed a new tab is created with the .m file converted to a HTML page.

On Ubuntu however it seems like Firefox is iterpreting the file as Objective-C source code and when I am trying to use Firefox to open the file (preferences -> applications -> Objective-C source code -> use Firefox) it keeps on repeatedly opening new emtpy tabs. I can set it so that the file is opening in e.g. gedit, but I would like to have the same behavior as on Windows i.e. a new tab with the file converted to HTML format. Is this possible? Is there a Firefox extension that I am missing? I read that you should use preview in firefox, but I don't seem to have that option (I have included a screen)

I've got some problem with syncing addons - they are not syncing. Yesterday I've installed Firefox Lockwise on my home PC. Today I start FF on my work PC and Lockwise did not install. Same story was earlier with some other addons. Perphaps there was a solution, but I wasn't able to find it.

Everything on PC is up-to-date (FF 67.0.1).

I have Win 10 and Firefox67.0.1. I understand that Firefox has done away with tabbed browsing because some users kept so many tabs open that their memory usage became excessive. I wanted to be able to keep a few tabs open while browsing (email, weather and a few other sites). I tried using the Pin Tab feature but found it would not work for my email or NOAA, though it did work for one Firefox help site. I also tried changing the browser tab item in about:config. (See uploaded image). I am in the process of slowly migrating to a more user friendly browser (Vivaldi), but before I change default browsers I thought I'd try one more time and ask if there is any way to restore the ability to keep a few tabs open in Firefox while browsing. Thanks for any help.

It is not unusual for me to lose my favorites on BOTH, the Firefox homepage and on the "SpeedDial 2" app. I keep having to reenter my favorites, only for it to happen again, not long after.

As an aside, it is very difficult to find some way to contact Mozilla. You list Facebook as a way to contact you, but that is no longer being used. There seems to be no way to, easily, get in contact with Mozilla. It is as if Mozilla wants to make it as difficult as possible for people to bring their concerns to them.

I am considering going with a nother browser. I have heard that Brave is a good one.

On my "top hits" icons page, three sites (Huffington Post, Alternet and the Washington Post) are marked on the bottom with exclamation points inside red triangles. What does this mean? I've continued to visit those sites & I'm developing some weird problems on, not Firefox, but Thunderbird program. I don't have an anti-virus program installed, on the recommendation over the years of several technicians. Perhaps that information is outdated? Thanks for your reply! Barbara

I want a related tab to open as the next tab and a new tab to open at the right end of the tabs. Under about:config, I tried to change browser.tabs.insertAfterCurrent and browser.tabs.insertRelatedAfterCurrent. No combination of true and false makes any difference - a new tab always opens after the current tab.
