I'm trying to add the world cup tracker to my home screen, but when i click the link, it just puts me in my new tab page with no changes. When I click the pencil edit icon, widgets are not an option for me. Is there a place I need to enable them?

As title says, on my main profile, i dont see any option to use the new tab widgets function. If i make a new profile, it is there on default.

How to add it on my main profile?

I decided to switch back to "mainline". Opened Firefox after a while. Got a prompt to change my new tab wallpaper, I said no.

Closed and reopened Firefox. Then my new tab page was besmirched with "soccer" score nonsense.

What hidden/non-obvious setting do I need to change to have ALL of this and ANYTHING EVEN REMOTELY LIKE IT off FOREVER? I will never EVER want ANY suggestions for ANYTHING for the rest of time. I turned everything I could think of, including the labs or whatever off but this still came up.

The new feature Sports Widget is too generic does not even state what sports which game is it. Each individual will always have his/her preferred sports they follow so this needs a lot of improvements.

When opening a new window on firefox I see a "homepage" (No URL offered at the top of the page), offering some helpful, frequently used shortcut icons followed by a number of headings, i.e. : Popular Today, Connections, Featured Videos, etc., providing image/links to stories from various "news" or "interest" websites, which I can click on to view. Opening a number of these sites in order to view the advertised "story" require setting up a free, or paywall account/membership, etc.. How can I eliminate these undesirable/unwanted options from being "offered" or shown on my firefox homepage? Something may look interesting, but I'm not one to sign up, or pay to view these opportunities. I see where I can eliminate entire Categories, but what I'm trying to do is block, or eliminate the "offer to view" what I deem "unwanted offers to sign up to view this "story". Can this "Junk/Bait" be eliminated from my homepage on a site by site basis? As examples: CNN, Wired", "the cut", among others. Can the page be configured to eliminate the offering of "Non-Free", "Non-Membership", "Non-Signup" Sites? (Apologies for my lack of appropriate semantics, I'm just a user, not an Internet Expert, developer, or or software-savvy person.) As an aside, is there a way to contact a real live human person at Mozilla/Firefox to assist with issues like this, or answer related questions. All I seem to find are circular links to "Contact Mozilla", which bring me to unrelated FAQ databases, and user forums, etc., where I find I'm unable to get an answer to the question asked? I have selected the 4 rows for shortcuts on my tab and have installed all but the last 3 spaces in the end of the 4th row. There's no option whatsoever to continue to add those remaining 3 spaces. Any suggestions?

So, I tried to delete that post, but it blocked the category of Science completely, so I had to unblock it.

But my point is, Why if I do not want to see this post about Seniors getting bathroom upgrades and I try to delete it does it make an entire category go away? I am sorry, but this is just goofy (trying to be polite here).

This is simply Not about Science whatsoever, that Seniors are getting bathroom upgrades if they live in these zip codes! Also this Same thing has been posted Multiple times in other Categories! Again, this post typically has Zero to do with the Category that it was posted in! I mean Zero Relevance or, more accurately, actually Less than Zero.

So, in the past, I was able to get rid of a post, but now, if I try, it blocks whatever category that the Ad was posted in! What?

Is this now the price of having Firefox? That I have to have postings that I can not either block or delete? Really?

Please explain and tell me why I can not target an individual ad from being posted. Thanks for your time. John D

When I click for a new tab, all the shortcuts I have are moved down awkwardly. Can you fix that? That does not seem to be a good choice. Please change. The attached image shows that everything has moved down and I cannot see the names of the shortcuts. Why did you do this? Please fix that. There was absolutely no reason to do that!

Why isn't there a simple means to remove/prevent searches for the address bar, using config doesn't work.

I've used Firefox for over twenty years, this annoyance will end that and force a move to Brave.

At some point I decided to use default tab wallpapers by Mozilla. With an update of home menu 151.0 , there is a new logo in the center "Firefox". You can see it on (screenshot 1). It covers any background picture, in my case a tail of the fox. I can't figure out how to hide this logo. I have one icon on my taskbar already; having it in the layout is just a redundancy. Obviously i know that i use Firefox there is no need to remind me that

A little extra note: The layout reflow of the logo works bad when the window is resized. It's not centralized.(screenshot 2).

The only band-aid that i see is in Settings >> New tabs >> Blank Page. It turns of wallpapers and whole layout of homepage which is not my target (screenshot 3).

I'm sorry, maybe the problem was there in previous versions however I just noticed it. Or rather the absence of it. The problem is when I open a new tab where I had that mini weather report widget enabled (and I checked that the button in the settings is set to be enabled) the widget is not there anymore, nowhere to be seen.

I made two screenshots of my browser's new tab with no weather widget and one with the settings open to show that the weather widget on/off button is enabled. I'm sorry however that I had to blur things I thought it would be sensitive information.

My OS is Win11 Home Greek and my Firefox is in Greek as well.

I noticed that somewhat recently the way new tab loooks has changed.

I always liked having it zoomed in, but I noticed that now when I zoom it in - it focuses on the empty space above tiles, which makes no sense to me. Ideally I would want the firefox logo to always be on top to get rid of the empty space and show more tiles.

This pretty much summarizes the issue, I hope it makes sense. Included a screenshot of what I am taking about.

After today's FF update my new tab has the FF logo obscuring the image. I've tried removing it in about:config by setting this preference to false: browser.newtabpage.activity-stream.logowordmark.alwaysVisible But it didn't work.

I don't want the logo and also don't want the search bar. I want just the image.

When that didn't work, I tried going to Settings->Home->New Windows and Tabs I was able to set Homepage and New Windows to a Custom URL, but not New Tabs.

What's up with this??

I read somewhere to try using a custom css and set the attribute of .logo-and-wordmark to none. I don't know how to do that.

Is there a workaround that doesn't involve creating a custom css? If not, I'd like some advice on how to create a css.

I am on a 2024 M4 mac mini pro. I just updated Firefox to the latest version of the browser, version 151.0. Now, all the icons on my startup page are very small. I do not like this. How do I get my icons back to the size they were before this last update?

Since new update the firefox logo is appearing on my home page and new tab pages, how do I remove it? I changed the setting to false and it still does not go away.
