When I use the search engine it will not open and says "Hmm we're having trouble finding that site". My Bookmarks all work and open fine but i cannot search anything?

Firefox: 142.0.1 (64-bit) macOS: Sequoia 15.6.1 (24G90)

A repeat of a problem I was having a couple of months ago. I go to the reddit website and login with no problems but when I try to comment or load specific threads I get the attached warning come up:

"! Your request has been blocked by network security. Please try to login with your Redit account."

Which doesn't make sense as I'm already logged in. Last time it seemed to clear after 24 hours or so although not because of anything I did as far as I'm aware.

Using Firevox 142.0.1 on a MacBook Air. I always have "Always ask you where to save files" checked in Preferences, but lately it sometimes fails to ask me. For example, if I try to download a file from Google Drive. Is anyone else having this problem? Is there something I can do about it?

If you go to americangreetings.com, then click on the latest greeting card with ROB LOWE, enter info and then check if everything is OK. When you try to play it, it only plays his voice and there is NO PICTURE AT ALL. Other card will work, but not this one. WHY? It works fine on other browsers I have, but not on FIREFOX! I accidentally disliked a thought-provoking story which involved the couple who died in the Lisbon funicular crash (as of Saturday 6th September 2025), which I think was addressed by The Independent.

Is it possible to reverse the dislike? The story does not seem to appear again, at least from what I have seen. Although the dislike was accidental, I felt that having the story disliked would indicate I would not be interested in thought-provoking stories about those who have died, even though these stories should be important to show.

I installed chatgpt, but I've found it more of a nuisance than a help. I've tried on-line to find out how to remove it but none of the suggestions seemed to work. I'm using the latest version of firefox on a Macbook Pro. Any ideas welcome. Charlie

I don't know why, but when I browse pages in English, the context menu offers to "translate selection into Hebrew". This is weird and totally unwanted. I don't know how FF decided that I need translations, and specifically to Hebrew!

In the settings, my preferred language is "English (US)". In "translation settings", the list of "Translation will happen automatically for the following languages" is empty, and the list of "Translation will not be offered for the following languages" has Hebrew and French. (I would add English but I don't see how.)

Is there a way to just remove this translation option from the context menu?

Previously, I was able to click on an image in a page, then it would appear below that pre-click. Then, if I wanted to view the image link, it would open that link in a new tab. Now, for some reason, when I try to click to the new location, it opens it in my existing tab, rather than a new tab. How can I fix that?

Y want to be able to chat with my friends in Facebook and at times it takes my 20 minutes of waiting to get connected!!! And now all of the blue I get a bunch of widgets instead and also A sign that says that there is a problem with my browser!!! Please help me out!!! I'm conducting research on the web but nothing is being recorded in my search history which is really annoying as I need to refer back to it at times. I can find it under recently closed tabs. Please can you advise what is going on?

Firefox claims does NOT save site/URL visit information while in Private Mode. And I thought that was true. However, I just discovered that Firefox DOES SAVE Private Mode URL/Site visits - in this specific place. I don't know how long the history will be saved - it looks like at least as long as the Window is open. I want to keep most of my open Private Tabs open - but want to Delete/Clear the ones I'm done with. I thought/understood that Private window/tab/visit info was not tracked/saved - and it's not saved in History, or Searchable. But it appears that this doesn't apply to the Recently Closed Tabs MenuItem. And there seems to be NO 'delete' or 'clear' option for this field. I can't find any reference to the subject in the Forum or Articles. The picture I've attached is NOT of the Recently Closed Tabs while in Private Browsing, but is the same MenuItem and field contents. Thanks for your interest. I'm hoping someone can help me figure out how to delete/clear this specific history.

14-inch MacBook Pro 2021, MacOs Sequoia 15.6.1 - Attempting to log in to my iCloud account on Firefox I receive the message, "Failed to verify your identity. Try again."

When I try to login to Facebook I can't and a screen appears with

This happens even in Troubleshooting Mode …

Exactly the same issue with DuckDuckGo browser but no difficulties with Safari where I can login to Facebook as usual …

For some reason all of a sudden my bookmarks don't show their identification icons that are associated with that web site. Those icons are to the immediate left of the site address. I used to use those colored icons as a quick reference to select the web site I wanted. Being I have MANY bookmarks, those icons to the left were a GREAT help to locating a specific bookmark.

   I could locate a bookmark by the web site icon that is shown to the left of the site address. Now that icon just shows a non colored ball with globe in it.
  Is there a way to show a earlier date of my bookmarks? Maybe that way I could see the old bookmark menu the way it used to be shown when I accessed my bookmark menu?
