Win 11 stopped working on my Lenoovo Yoga due to bitlocker key requirement that does not exist I'm in the process of installing Ubuntu during the installation something went wrong "system program problem detected" which stopped the installation

I have a custom pitch black theme ( pls add it without addons ) which now only flashes for a second when i open the browser and returns to the normal greyish dark mode. When i go to Firefox Color addon page and load it again in saved themes it stays pitchblack even if i open another browser window until i close all the browser windows .

I need to speak with someone. Firefox was updated on May 23. I have been away and can not use new version. I can not get access to aol account. I want my old Firefox back

We are in an enterprise environment and for years we have had disabled automatic updates.

Firefox ESR 128.2.0 has been deployed with defaults and these settings have been configured to override previous settings.

Computer Configuration > Administrative Templates > Mozilla > Firefox

- Custom Update URL = Disabled
- Disable Update = Disable
- Application Autoupdate = Enabled
- Background updater = Enabled

We also have a system proxy configured.

Updates do work if someone goes to Help > About Firefox.

Looks like the update interval is once every 7 hours but how is this triggered?

I got tired of the shenanigans with the latest "upgrades" to firefox (132 & 133) so I rolled back to the last working version (131.02). In doing so, it required me to create a new profile, which I did. Doing so WIPED OUT ALL OF MY BOOKMARKS, SETTINGS, ADD-ONS, OPTIONS, HISTORY, EVERYTHING!!! I now have a blank version of firefox.

How in the world can I get them back???

I seem to be having a really odd issue where each time I restart Firefox, recent addons I've installed will not function or appear in the Add-On drop down menu (despite being meant to appear in such), despite being enabled and still being shown as such when I check settings. They only become visible and functional when I disable and re-enable them.

I've just discovered the same thing seems to happen in reverse too. I recently disabled ClearURLs due to a bug it was causing in Google Drive, yet it appeared in my Add-On drop down menu after restarting. Checking settings showed it to still be 'disabled'.

Things I've tried:

• Restarting both Firefox and PC.
• Uninstalling and reinstalling the effected Add-ons
• Deleting my extension*, compatability.ini and prefs.js files - erasing all my add-on settings yet still not helping. This is the main thing I've suggested on forums like this with similar questions, but has not helped.

It seems to only be effecting the most recent set of add-ons I installed over the last week, as if Firefox keeps trying to work with the Add-on settings I had at a previous date. I've seemingly had some cases where the extensions disable or are uninstalled entirely but I'm not sure this is related, as I think it only happened once.

I suspect it's not to do with the new extensions themselves, given it's effecting all the most recent ones, but I'll list the ones I've seen it effecting here regardless:

ClearURLS (not recently installed, but as mentioned showing similar reverse effects) Undo Close Tab YouTube NonStop Privacy Badger History AutoDelete Don't Accept Image/Webp Decentraleyes Xkit Rewritten Disconnect AI Grammar Checker & Paraphraser - LanguageTool &udm=14

As you can see I recently installed quite a few anti-tracker type extensions which probably overlap in function, mainly just to test them out, so it could be connected to them I guess... but seems unlikely.

Having just used Windows Update (on Windows 10), the screensaver lock screen comes on with my chosen picture AND four large buttons for weather etc. I didn't ask for the buttons, and don't want them. Is this a Firefox issue, or maybe a Windows issue? Do you know how I can stop them coming on please? (Firefox v. 132.0.2 current)

In the last update of Firefox, today, the updated firefox opened without some bookmarks that I had open in the last session and that I don't want to lose. I tried the recovery following your help (Recover user data missing after Firefox update) but without success. How can I recover lost bokmars? Note: This situation has happened more times and if I can't recover the bookmarks, I will have to give up Firefox, which I have been using for many years and stop recommending it.

Hi James Your reply does not answer my question - "Could you please advise a work-around to allow me to continue to use Firefox V 94.0.1 reliably after 25 March 2025". Thank you. Also FYI, I indicated that I was continuing to use Firefox V 94.0.1 (64-bit) on Windows 7 Professional. This is because all versions later than 94.0.1 modified settings which had to be reset after an update. This was not necessary up to and including V 94.0.1 Cheers Graham Garden

Hello all,

During clean-up of my laptop I noticed 31 language package files in C:\ProgramData\O949. File names look like: langpack-en-US@firefox.mozilla.org, and they all originate from 23-Jan-2017 so I guess they're very old files which might be relevant anymore. As these 10,058 files occupy 56 MB I'd like to remove them from my laptop.

Does anybody know if such task is wise, not harming current running FF v131.0.3?

first one is of file explorer with current data (document is "ambulance- x" i wanted to attach second one is of file explorer with incorrect data when I clicked 'attach' to get document third one is of actual display of message screen online that i used to send message. Ever since I updated to Firefox 132, I get a Tab Crash if I go to Facebook (logged in), DSLReports Forums (like https://www.dslreports.com/forum/vzfiber), and Rockstar Social Club (logged in).

I have tried playing with the settings, Troubleshooter Mode, and Private Windows...all the same result.

I have a IP intercom that only works with Firefox 127.0.2 Now Firefox automatically upgrades to the latest version and I'm unable to prevent this. I'm unable to manage my intercom with the latest version. How do I turn off automatic updates.

Thanks for the information. I can insert a document into a regular email with no problem. I will try to set up a screen shot to send. As I explained before the problem is that when i go out to the web page and try to insert a document i just created for a doctor the file explorer data is incorrect. Then i click on button to get file explorer with current data that would show my new document, it displays "filefox symbol with note 'file upload' " . At the time I'm using doctors web site 'Epic MyChart' and file explorer displays some old data. Is there a way to send you the screen shot without filling this form out each time? Thanks Perry

I am sure that this is a 'known issue' but, when I attempted to update the browser just now, it failed and directed me to install it manually.

Is there a time estimate when this glitch will be fixed?
