I am wondering it this is possible - I have a Windows 10 laptop that needs to be upgraded to V202H and I am told that the upgrade will probably delete all of my current programs and settings - including my Firefox install and all bookmarks. To help recover from that, I wanted to know if it would be possible to set up an alternate Firefox in a not often used local account on my Windows 7 laptop and then sync the two so that after the upgrade, I can download Firefox again onto the Win 10 laptop and then sync it back so that I can get all of my bookmarks and settings for FF back onto the Win 10 laptop.

I don't want to sync it with the Firefox that I use in my regular Win 7 user account since that has a separate set of bookmarks and settings that I wouldn't want to change. I just wanted a way to "hold" all of the Win 10 Firefox stuff and "reinstall" it, and had thought that sync might be a way to do that.

If that won't work, is there a way to transfer the entire FF profile over to a new install on that laptop once it is upgraded?

Recently, a kind volunteer helped me resolve a technical problem I was having with eBay. I have only one start up on my computer now, which is my VPN I have disabled all my Add-ons. I exited out of Firefox, restarted my computer and went directly to ebay and had no trouble signing in or using the site. Yay! I thought it was all fixed. I still wanted to use some very important (to me) add-ons like Ghosterly, and a couple others, which I have had for approximately a year with no problem on ebay. I enable 3 of my favorite addons. I went back to ebay. And, now I can't sign in. They say the password doesn't match. I know that it is correct because I have it written down. When I tried many times, they kept making be "bot verify" When I tried to reset my password, they said I had to chat with someone. I am unable to chat because they say I might have disabled java script. I don't know where to look to see it I have done that. Having a "Senior Moment" here............

....also starting to get frustrated........... grrrrrrr..... I wanted to try to turn on one addon at a time, to see which might be the troublemaker, but never got the chance.

Any thoughts??

I am Getting both "incorrect password" and "your email was returned" errors

I know the password is correct as I can still use it to log in (including logging into these forums) though I am getting this error when trying to create a recovery key or reset my password

For the "your email was returned" error, the email address is typed correctly in my account and I have gotten confirmation emails from FireFox as recently as 2 days ago. I get this error when trying to sign in to sync the Multi-Account Containers addon, as well as when trying to use "forgot password" to get a reset link.

I'm not sure how to proceed with these errors as each issue is preventing me from resolving them on my own.

At one point while I was getting the incorrect password error I got a message that my account is locked and an email would be sent to me for confirmation...though of course that also got "your email was returned"

So I have a kind of unusual problem. I am currently logged into my Firefox account (obviously) and have access to all my saved material/history. The problem is I do not know my current password (the ones saved in the password manager are old/not correct) and I can't reset it without losing all my info. This is mostly a problem because I want to activate Firefox sync on another computer. Does anyone know how I can find out my current password without resetting everything?

Zaznaczyłam w opcjach: przywracanie poprzednich sesji, ale to nie działa. Nie rozumiem tego. Jak miałam Windowsa, to nigdy nie było z tym problemu. A pracuje przy kilkudziesięciu otwartych kartach i nie wyobrażam sobie, żebym miała je za każdym razem otwierać pojedynczo... Z jednej grupy wsparcia Apple dostałam informacje, że Mac ma swoją przeglądarkę: Safarii i żebym jej zaczęłam używać. Ale ja nie chcę innej przeglądarki. Mam za dużo zapamiętanych kart, żeby je przenosić i nie chcę uczyć się kolejnej aplikacji. Dodatkowo powiedziano mi, że Mac nie lubi innych oprogramowań niż swoje. Idąc tym torem, nie można by używać Photoshopa, Adobe PDF, i wiele wiele innych aplikacji, bo Mac ich nie wyprodukował... To jakiś absurd! Proszę o pomoc, jak otwierać przeglądarkę z kartami z poprzedniej sesji?

Not sure if I chose the correct topic above, but here goes. It is my first time here.

recently, after using the same browser and same site, under the same log in for over 15 years, the pages freeze and I can't do any thing but wait until the error message pops up saying that "a webpage is slowing down your browser, do you want to: "Stop it" or "Wait" I click stop it and then wait a few seconds and I can see the screen glitch and then I can click on something and it will finally work. But, when I try to click on something else the same thing happens over and over again. I have discussed this with the chat agents, but they were no help. Someone from ebay called me after I asked them to and I explained the problem, and that I had cleared my browser cache, cookies, browsing history and it still gives the same error message and still freezes. I do NOT have this problem on any other website or platform. The ebay agent on the phone suggested that I try a different browser as he had no way to diagnose my problem. I asked "If the problem doesn't happen on any other site, how would it be caused by my browser?" He said, he was merely suggesting that as a process of elimination. I started to download another browser today, as this has been going on for far too long, probably two weeks now. Thank you for any suggestions you might have. Taylor

The "Back Space" quit working. It used to return to the previously viewed page. The Alt+Left Arrow does the same but is not as convenient since it requires both hands to return where the Back Space did not.

How do I restore its functionality?

need to make address bar tabs larger..tried an earlier solution posted using about:config ..devp but that didnt do anything..anyone have any ideas..have 21 inch screen but can just see tabs and address bar..but cant read them without sliding a zoom window over them

I use Simplify.com to track some financial data but I cannot log in from the Firefox browser. I can get to the login screen but when I click login there is a spinning circle which never stops. I think I have found ways to put this in the exceptions but nothing works. I have a similar issue with Zinio.com. I can get to the website but cannot login. For both of these sites I have to use Google Chrome to get in.

When I attempted to do a post purchase customer survey, the scoundrels at Target tricked me into installing an incredibly invasive, suspicious SearchesCentral browser, which has now replaced my Firefox browser. What can I say? I am not very computer saavy. How do I undo this ghastly error, and remove this potentially dangerous software from my brand new laptop?

Installed new hard disk Windows 10. I've downloaded and installed current Firefox program, however, my previous bookmarks did not reinstall. Did some research but could the file where they might be located. I thought that FC saves everything to the cloud at closing which would this problem. Thanking you in advance: Dr. Steve

When I searched Firefox "Help" to find out what is going on, there were over 2,000 queries about this but no responses were returned.

Is this a new hack, or what?

When I send tabs from my laptop to my phone, it always says "Tab from [other name]'s Firefox on LAPTOP", and I would like to change this name but I cannot figure out how to, as my Firefox shows my actual name.

I truly hope somebody can give me some help. I am struggling to understand why my website page containers go nuts on Firefox. I tried so much, I payed a good developer who told me the issue was over, but it is still there. I'm trying everything but my project is being a failure due to very nasty WP Theme issues, like this one. I had to spend my time fixing the Theme and my project completely past its deadline. Maybe I'm going to be fired, without fox.

I clearly cannot add site credentials for anybody, but maybe some developer knows what could be of help.

It seems that the issue has something to do with page Container and Flex attribute. The website is a Wordpress site and the page is built with WPBakery Visual Editor. All updated, no customizations, pages should work easy... As you can see the page title is ok, but then inside the main page container, the Visual Editor rows (which have display = flex) behave as if they had no width. Despite that, changing the flex attribute to display = block targeting FF specifically through Css, it doesn't seem to work either. It's not something simple just as a Row option inside the Visual Editor.

Please see attachments. Many pages behave like that. My questions: - is there a possibility to speak with Firefox assistance and get a clue? - did any developer from community, experience something similar before? How did you manage to solve it? - Firefox, why are you behaving like that with an old supporter?
