Hi I got a problem which I think is caused by Firefox/Facebook.
Sometimes (quite often) when I'm in Facebook and scrolling down, suddenly Facebook starts to scroll on its own and then the cursor starts flickering. The only way to correct this is to restart the computer. Very often when i log in for the first time afters such a restart all my desktop icons are shown wide apart, and the I have to logoff/logon again. Then it works until the next time.
I have switched the hardware acceleration of in Firefox with the same result.
Acctually, it happend right now, and now I don't have Facebook open.
If I can't fix it i have to stop using Firefox!

Firefox auto update has stopped working for me. Neither of the settings, see attached screenshot do anything, all I get is a popup saying a new version of firefox is available with a link to https://www.mozilla.org/en-GB/firefox/ I recently did a clean install of Win 10 pro x64 and this problem may have started then. I have another PC on the same network where auto download of updates are still working. Hopefully someone can point me to a way to get this working again.

Like many users, I find Google's 'before you continue' pop-up annoying. Because I automatically delete cookies on browser exit, it keeps popping up as it doesn't remember my settings. I have installed Google Consent Dialog Remover, and it has been working well... until now.
I just did a search for a place, and tried to click on the map to go to Google Maps. The dialog intruded, despite the add-on. But worse than that, when I clicked 'I agree', nothing happened! I cannot get to the maps page at all. I've tried disabling enhanced protection -- no change. I've tried disabling various add-ons -- no change. I've tried restarting FF in safe mode, but the same problem persists.
I can't figure out how this is happening or what to do about it. Any suggestions?

I have a reproduceable issue where a text box, usually at the top of a page, will not respond to clicking on an enter/search icon or to enter/return after text is entered. I have seen it on both the Home Depot (see attachment) and Lowes websites, and my wife saw it on her laptop with Weather.com. Both systems are Win 10 latest and Firefox 87.0. In the attaached image, clicking on either the small orange circle or pressing enter fails to work. Similar issue with Lowes and Weather. Tried running in safe mode but still had same issue. However, using Opera or Edge works just fine.

So, I've had this problem once already and solved it. Mozilla updated automatically and I lost all of my tabs (over a 100 tabs, mostly with books I wanted to buy / compare prices), couldn't restore the session and had no history. After a dramatic and prolonged freakout, I actually found help on this site and managed to open the correct upgrades.jsonlz4 files with the jeffersoncher scrounger website. I meant to save all of the links in a word file since I no longer trusted firefox to open my tabs after an update, but real life happened. I kept putting it off and was content to have the tabs on hand as a list on the scrounger website. But then ANOTHER automatic update happened and now I no longer find the old .jsonlz4 file - I have a few really old ones (from 2017 and 2019) but the one from around the time period of the first tab loss only has tabs about restoring lost history. I now, just as before, again have no history to find the tabs with the books I want that way. My question is: I would very much like to have those tabs back - some of those books were meant as gifts and finding them the analog way is possible, but very time-consuming. Is there any way I could find the correct .jsonlz4 file (I even remember the date it was modified as shown in file explorer - or should I just give up the whole affair as lost and no longer waste time on it? I'll try reinstalling firefox after I post this message, but given that it didn't work last time, I'm not very optimistic.

I uninstalled and erased all related data (I could find) multiple times and reinstalled multiple times but problem remains. I tried refresh, safe mode, etc. At installation I get error VCRUNTIME140_1.dll not found, a susequent installation finishes without errors. I am sending this from another system because I can't use the problem unit for this post. The problem system is similar to this one. I am puzzled and seek help.
