I just was asked to download Firefox Sync. I thought it was just a new version of the same old Firefox. Now, when I try to open a new tab, I have to sign into Sync again!!! This really slows me down! Please tell me how I can get out of this. Jen

Logged in happily to outlook today , now cant - only change was i added facebook container - but didnt stop straight away - have tried safe mode and refreshed firefox - still cant - but I can still log in in explorer and edge ...

I tried to set a secondary email for my new Firefox Support account. I did receive a confirmation link email in the secondary account. when I clicked the Verify link nothing happened. after a while I used the email's view-in-browser link, which opened Edge and displayed the original email. when I clicked that Verify link I got the following error on the subsequent page.

Hi guys. I was clearing out unused software for space and I uninstalled the wrong firefox (I had two installed). I was using a 3rd party program called IObit uninstaller. Usually I know backups appear if uninstalled through the directory but this isn't the case with the 3rd party programs.

So after freaking out a little I looked for recovery programs and found one by the same developer, IObit undelete. I managed to find some json. files with settings, logins and some bookmark files too. However, when I try to restore the bookmarks file through the remaining firefox I'm told it is unable to process the file?

Does anybody please have any ideas what I can do to fix this? I'm pretty bummed out by this, i'll happily send a bit of cash your way if this can be restored again

I am completely unable to view the web page for tumblr when I sign in, getting this error: "The page isn’t redirecting properly

An error occurred during a connection to www.tumblr.com.

   This problem can sometimes be caused by disabling or refusing to accept cookies."

I have cleared the cache, deleted cookies, cleared the site history, checked cookie permissions, and updated firefox and the error is still happening. Help!

Most web pages are now displaying squares with question marks! Installed Mac OS Catalina several days ago, but this just started yesterday. HELP! Attaching a screen shot

The gpu usage (more specifically the encoding) has crazy spikes which causes frames to drop (a lot of them).

I'm almost sure this only happens with vp9 and so far I've only seen it happen in 1080p and over (1080p60 etc).

The gpu should be more than able to play these. And in the moments it isn't spiking it's only using like 30 to 40% so it is more than able.

Edit 1: It's really strange because I just watched 4k60 videos and 1080p60 videos in both VP9 and AV and they worked just perfect and then I went to a 1080p24 in VP9 and it skips like hell. And then I went back to the previous video and it gets almost 100% skipped frames at 4k60 when just 5 minutes ago it was playing it fine.

So basically I can't successfully reproduce the problem the same way all the time. Maybe you guys have some tools I can use to do more in-depth testing.

Edit 2: I am now convinced that the problem lies with the iGPU not having enough memory because one common thing that I noticed every time there's skipping is that the vram is pretty much full. At the same time that's strange because the system should then use the system memory as shared memory, right? I checked my BIOS to see if I could increase the iGPU memory but it literally only gives me a single option, which isn't even the correct one since it shows 128MB and I have 256MB, or at least the specs of the laptop, Firefox (about:support) and Windows says so.

I know there's other laptops with this iGPU that can change that so if anyone has one that can test that we would know.

I did the FireFox "Refresh" thinking it will make my PC faster like it said. "One big mistake for me!" I am not a computer person and struggle with basic terminology. My screen now is totally different and I am at a loss............. How do I go back to the way it was before I ruined everything?

This version is just junk!!!!! Just set the preferences and sign in Firefox and all other accounts like Gmail etc. Trying to save the history and all the passwords and everything you got. That's all gone when you shut Firefox down. When you reopen none of your history or passwords are there or you start from scratch. This is absolutely ridiculous. This version should never been released absolute disgrace. It doesn't deserve to be called a browser. I'm so disgusted and angry I can't put it in words.

Fix the damn thing!!!!

It is so bad when I try to get into accounts like Gmail it sees a different computer every time I log in. For security they have to phone me every time I reopen Firefox to to get into my account. I have to verify who I am!!!! Every single time that includes my banking online!!!!!

Tried to download bills from FPL, Comcast and Verizon and never got to see them due to Firefox rapidly opening a seemingly infinite number of tabs. The only way to stop it was to close all tabs. When I went to Google instead, I was able to do normal download.

after the panic subsided, I contacted all 8 of the sites listed which of course I could not remember a single PW, and only 1 Site Admin was ready and willing to help me - thank you Cafe Press ! Part of my situation is that two of my three former email addresses were dropped when AOL bought Verizon's EMail Division and only let us bring 1 suitcase per person. Trouble is, the other two addys were sub accounts, one was a Business Account so much of the info was quite detailed but the same. But these days, data breaches are so comon (yawn?) it's almost not shocking. But 8 ? Yikes. Here's the thing, I thank you for the alerts, but you scare me to death then leave me hanging. I have no idea which 5 sites had the same PW (huh ?). I supposed over 20 years online and at 2500 logins, at some point my brain ran out of creative unique login's. I use a Password Program but it doesn't catch 3 email addresses that may share a common PW. Any suggestions how to "Resolve" those breaches which I can barely remember where I've left my britches ? Thanks. 5/2500 = .002 % P.W.s repeated , not the worst odds in the world. Spread that % over a 22 year span, the equation is so low there is an "e" in the final outcome !

No matter what I try based on internet searches, and on this forum, I can't get my browser to save any history. After I close the closer at end of day, it erases everything. I even created a new profile.... no good. Uninstalled and re-installed.... no good. Places integrity checker says the database is sane. I checked my system care software and disabled any privacy sweeps months ago. My older (a few years back) firefox used to save everything....

At the end of my list of bookmarks is "Other Bookmarks" which has a subdirectories again and again "Other Booksmarks" It is EXTREMELY ANNOYING and I can't get rid of it. Please help me. Larry

I've tried changing the default search engine to Google and got rid of Yahoo among the options. I've removed all the extenions and addons except those specifically installed by Firefox and the utility LastPass which remembers all my passwords. I've done a computer-wide search for Yahoo and can't find anything obvious. I've read all the help files on the subject and followed every step. Still the browser uses Yahoo when I type a search in the address bar. Please help! Yahoo is a terrible search engine. I like Firefox but I'll have to switch if I can't fix this.

I am trying to log into my mozilla firefox account for a different email, but when I try logging in, it says I need a verification code and emails me it. When I enter in the code (no more than 30 seconds after requesting the code), I get a message saying "invalid authorization code". I've tried over 10 times by this point, but it still won't accept any verification codes it sent to me.

Yesterday, youtube quit working in Firefox. I updated to 72.0.2 several days ago and it was working fine. Invidio links also won't play. Nor will YT embedded vids on Diaspora. Plays fine testing with Safari. I think my privacy settings are causing this problem, but I don't know which one(s) to change. Ant Ideas ?

I'm running Ubuntu 16.04, and every time I start firefox, it gives me the "Choose User Profile" prompt, even with "Use the selected profile without asking on startup" selected. My about:profiles has only one profile (which is set to default), and both my profiles.ini file and installs.ini file contain only that profile. The profiles.ini file also has StartWithLastProfile=1. It's not really that big a deal, but it is annoying and any help would be appreciated.
