When browsing certain pages (specifically Reddit.com), going back to the previous page will refresh the whole page, which expands the comments I've collapsed and I can no longer find the comment I was looking at a moment ago.

Currently I do not have any add-ons activated, but if I start Firefox in safe-mode the problem is no longer there.

I have tried to refresh Firefox, but this did not solve my problem.

I have also cleared my cache and this did not solve my problem either.

This is a problem that seems to come and go from time to time, without any reason that I understand.

I loathe the current version of Firefox, and was much happier with the previous version. I'm afraid I don't know what the current version number is, and don't know what the previous version number was, but so far as I know it was the latest before this new version.

How do I revert to the earlier version, while keeping all my addons and bookmarks? If I can get the previous version I will certainly store it on my computer so I don't have to ask this question again.

Firefox will not copy/paste within itself from pull-down menu. Will not accept/paste material copied from Mac email, from Word, from Safari. Without copy/paste, the browser is USELESS.

How do I fix this?

One installation of Firefox 38.0.5 on windows 8.1 does not display spinner box controls (see attached image). They are there but with 1 or 2 pix height as clicking the grey bar sometimes increases and sometimes decreases the numeric value.

Tried creating a new profile with no addons. Same problem. Haven't tried reinstalling Firefox yet.

This is not a problem with the website as this occurs on all sites with this type of form element.

It is also probably not a Firefox bug as I have Firefox 38.0.5 on Windows 7 at work that displays these form elements correctly.

Zoom (Ctrl +/-) does not change the erroneous appearance of the controls.

Any idea how to fix this?

Absolute murder over 100 crashes in a very short space, done everything disable add ons/offs and it crashes whatever. I am absolutely stuck......reloaded FF safe mode and fresh FF so many times...and it simply doesn't work. I've checked Firewall if FF was loaded with permissions and it wasn't... but that didn't help. The bogey is "server not found". What the heck is the cause of it ?

When attempting to access a TDAmeritrade website page (Research.ameritrade) after logging into my account, I am unable to proceed to other pages on the TDAmeritrade website, getting the following:

research.ameritrade.com uses an invalid security certificate. The certificate is not trusted because the issuer certificate is unknown. (Error code: sec_error_unknown_issuer)

This is a trusted site, having used it for many years. Until recent Firefox updates, I have always been able to proceed on this website. I NEED THIS FIXED ASAP!

Hi, I'm using Mozilla Firefox on Windows 8.1, with Adobe Flash Player, and I keep getting an error while loading a video: "Video Unavailable We are having trouble playing this video. Learn More"

This happens only on Facebook. On YouTube the videos are loading fine. I tried every single solution Adobe and Mozilla are offering in both of their help centers, but nothing helps, the videos simply doesn't load on Mozilla Firefox. (On chrome and IE the videos are loading fine). This happens on both of my computers, one is a brand new Laptop with good hardware, and the other is an older PC. Everything is completely updated: Windows, Firefox, and Flash player. And this issue also happens when I open Firefox in Safe-Mode (without add-ons or extensions enabled), so it's not Ad Blocker's fault.

I'm trying to get back my original settings after cleaning out some malware. Before, I could open the browser and surf and if I had a question about a word or name, statement, etc., I could copy and right click and choose "look up word on google" along with 4-5 other choices. Now when I try it, the list gives me about 30 choices, none of which are "look up on google". I went to options and in the column on the left side I tried to click "search" to no avail. If I click the other tabs (General, content, applications, etc) they all give me options. But when I click search only the previous tabs choices show. The search tab is there but does nothing. :) Thanks for any help!

So, every time I open up firefox my home page opens up like it should, but also an options tab always comes along with it. This does not happen, however, when I open up a private browsing window.

I am using Windows 7 and the latest version of Firefox with several Brother printers. The body of the email prints okay but Firefox will not print a received or sent email which shows the attachments which appear on the email. In Yahoo the attachments are in blue but even the black text which states there are attachments does not print. Is this a Firefox problem or a Yahoo problem? Anyone have an answer? Aspen

After the Windows 10 November update I was unable to view YouTube videos with a resolution higher than 360p. I remembered that I am using Windows 10 N Edition so I downloaded the Windows Media Encoder and it still did not work (it did before the update). Interestingly enough the Nightly Build of Firefox does not have this issue.

I am able to open firefox and access websites, but I am not able to access a university website that I have always accessed. This started yesterday and I still cannot access it. Firefox crashes every time I go to the university site. I contacted the University tech support and they said to contact you about it.

My session restore got deleted just because i accidentally cleared 1 hour of history? Really?????? And when I sometimes have opened PRIVATE window and NORMAL window (with all my tabs) and accidentally close normal one, session gets reset too. Just because the private window was still remaining. Cant restore when private is open, cant restore even when i close it. What the hell does private window have to do anything with SESSION SAVING? It shouldn't change session files since its clearly said that it only saves downloaded files and bookmarks, the first having nothing to do with sessions, and second being invalid since i don't save any bookmarks. Ever. Over 140-150 tabs for the F sake. An ass-whooping 150 tabs. That's waaayy beyond 1 frigging hour because i might add 1-3 tabs each 1-4 days. IF any of moderators, or devs sees this At. All. Please, and i really mean PLEASE, update your session saving and restoring methods. Not just few features and new look for the browser. Hell, i might even frigging donate, if possible, when i have a frigging job. But, for now... RESTORE. MY. FUCKING. SESSION. I haven't closed the browser since when i lost it, and not planning to until i get my session BACK. Hell, there has to be some file that still has all of my tabs. No, recovery.bak and recovery.js only shows my current one. So not that. Some other file. There MUST BE SOME. Yeah, its pitiful, but i am really desperate to recover my session. There was so much good stuff i cant afford loosing. Really, please, can someone lend some knowledge, some methods, point to some software or something? Or even if the moderators, I would appreciate the help. And sorry for the swearing... Really, not in the best mood.

My question is in regards to graphics. This has been going on for several months now and it's getting to the point where it's beginning to eat away at me.

I've recently (within 6 months) installed an additional 16GB of RAM and a new GPU. I upgraded from an ATI Radeon HD 5750 to a Gigabyte Radeon R9 270x. I never had this issue with my 5750 card, so this initially led me to believe it was a card issue, until I discovered that my problem appears to be ONLY with FireFox.

Now to the issue: Upon reaching 2.8GB+ of used memory (according to Task Manager), FireFox flashes for a brief moment and upon scrolling the screen or switching tabs, turns completely black, forcing me to re-load the browser. Now the first issue of FireFox using so much RAM to begin with is insane, and I've tried lowering settings, disabling extensions, all sorts of stuff, and the only thing doing that does is prolong the time before the flash makes its annoying appearance.

The screen flashing issue seems to be something else entirely. I have tried updating to the latest version of FireFox, running a fresh install of FireFox, updating my Graphics Drivers to their latest versions, pretty much anything I can think of, and nothing seems to fix it. What seems to be the deal here? I'd greatly appreciate any feedback and insight into how I can solve this issue aside from flat out using a different web browser.

Firefox is crashing as soon as i open it. It started a day ago i tried everything i could from reinstalling to update and what not. Could not find any solution, it just crashes as soon as i double click on the icon.
