I updated my firefox to Version 143.0.4 (64-bit). (I am using Mac). I was trying to change my wallpaper, so I went to the pencil and customize part of the new tab, and when I look at the wallpaper thing, I just see that it says "Reset to default". I didn't see any of the things that said upload image or any of that. just reset to default. I really wanted to change my wallpaper, so is there something I'm missing or something?

hi, I recently purchased a new wireless mouse and keyboard... and my only problem is that there are a couple extra buttons on my new mouse... roughly thumb position... and are by default set to navigate backward and forward.... I'm running ubuntu linux... which results in accidentally clicking back midway through a video or podcast and losing my position more often than you'd expect... any idea how I might either reassign or disable them entirely on the software side of things? thanks. -dan

There is a 'feature' in Firefox that I think is called "click and hold context menu". Basically if you left click on something and hold the click for a second or two a menu appears that offers an AI generated list of suggestions related to the thing you were clicking on. How do I disable this? In searching I have found suggestions to open about:config and set the value for ui.click_hold_context_menus to false, which I have done a few weeks ago now and it has no affect. I also tried changing the related value of ui.click_hold_context_menus.delay to an insanely long time, but that also had no effect.

I would appreciate some guidance on how to turn this off. This is problematic enough that I may have to switch to another browser if this can't be disabled. Thanks! Attached is a random example of one of these context menu's that appears when clicking and holding on a link.

Latest Firefox release update wiped out my bookmarks. Tried to restore a saved HTML version - and it says "this file doesn't include any bookmark data". (This is a "Firefox HTML Document" property type, saved using the BACKUP feature on w/n Firefox itself - using "manage bookmarks".)

Please let me know how to get my favorite sites back on my home screen. I use them a lot as they are real time savers. When I signed on this morning, it asked if I wanted Firefox to access my computer. I've always said yes and the updates have never caused a problem - until today.

I would appreciate an email ([edited email from community support forum]) letting me know how to get this to work.

I did use yahoo email for long time but now I want to switch to g mail address for my own protection and will keep my home address and will use my personal information as is not further changes.

Hello! Why do I get all of the Tools Menu in english when I've chosen Norsk Bokmål as standard language for my use at sites/streaming etc. What is the purpose of selecting the desired language if the tool options are only displayed in English?

After the most recent update on the 17/09 my search bar is permanently stuck blue (screenshot attached). Any idea how to revert this back to the grey it was before.

After the most recent Firefox update, my background colors are black, they were white before the update. I have attempted to change the settings for the background, no improvement.

I contacted the place that put my laptop PC together for me, one of their service techs spent close to an hour attempting the sames steps I tried. Did not fix. They said if they learn anything, they'll contact me.

Hi, I just want to ask about the customization option on the new tab's low right corner (the little pencil icon). I've had a background image called "Galaxy" that i thought was pretty, but it disappeared (probably sync settings on other devices, idc) and now the background is just system gray. The issue is that i cannot find the system background in "Themes" nor in the "Customization" (picrel) - there is only "reset to defaults". I really like Firefox and this was pretty cool so I'd like it back. Thanks in advance :)

I have picked up some bug(s) on my Firefox that I cannot figure out how to get rid of. With a Firefox ID I have warnings of 3 Trojan Virus detected, Virus detected, hard drive infected, secure data notice and system alert. I also got a warning that my McAfee protection had expired which is very strange. Since switching over in 2010 from Windows to Linux I have never had protection of any kind and unlike Windows have never had a single problem. In addition when I was using Windows the protection that I had was never McAfee. I suspect that these warnings are not from Firefox given the misprints, spelling errors and the poor English. It is likely phishing from some third world country. How do I get rid of this obvious garbage permanently? Many thanks! Kris

I keep asking. I don't want to, but I am going to use another browser that I don't like, that does have the + as I keep hitting the y key to open a new tab. I am not well, cancer has me. My eyes are bad, and I could use some help, Thank you.

Netflix stopped working with Firefox saying that an update is required. My Firefox and OS (Win11) are completely up to date.

Since the Tahoe upgrade I can't login to my google account because the 'Passkey' prompt that the system is supposed to automatically trigger, never eventuates as it used to in Sequoia. I am signed into my account on the same desktop using Safari but my preferred browser is Firefox, so this is quite frustrating.
