I just transferred my data from an old computer with Windows 10 and now have Windows 11 on my new computer with a new version of firefox as my browser. How do I restore my bookmarks?

Firefox stops loading pages. I try to browse a webpage and it just keeps loading, but nothing happens (black screen). I open chrome, request the same webpage, it loads immediately. In Firefox, it keeps loading. Sometimes it loads it after 1-2 minutes. Sometimes not. Problem is fixed after restarting firefox, but comes back again after some time.

Since updating Firefox on June 30, 2025 on my Dell desktop computer that runs Windows 10, most of my bookmarks are no longer visible. Only four of my bookmark folders are visible and most of their contents have disappeared.

However, 1) my uncategorized bookmarks - those in "other bookmarks" are still visible, and 2) If I go to "Manage bookmarks" and do a search, I can find all of my bookmarks including those that are no longer visible.

In addition, I can no longer add or delete bookmarks. It looks like I can do add a bookmark and it will let me go through the steps of adding a book mark - it even says I can put it in all my old folders that are otherwise no longer visible. But one I complete the process the bookmark does not show up.

I have read multiple Firefox Help articles about disappearing bookmarks and have taken all the steps suggested including: - Attempted to restore backups of bookmarks - didn't work. It shows me the multiple old backups but when I try to restore one I get the message "Unable to process the backup file". I have tried it with at least four of the old backup files - all without success. - cleared cache - did troubleshooting mode - refreshed Firefox - uninstalled and reinstalled Firefox - looked to see if I had a different profile other than my default profile that I could switch to. I do not see another profile.

Nothing has helped. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Firefox created a new Profile for me during a recent update and ignored the Profile I had been using for many years.

That probably occurred because Firefox couldn't find the original Profile. I had moved it to C:\0-FFox\ to shorten the length of file names. I had been getting File-Name-Length errors, which ended after moving the Profile closer to C:\.

Now I can't access or use the original Profile. I've researched the ins and outs of Profiles but can't find a solution to this problem. I want to add my old Profile to the new Profile created by Firefox and maybe switch between the two, or maybe revert to using only the old Profile. But I can't figure out how to do that. Adding a Profile seems to imply adding a new Profile and not an old one.

I sincerely hope you can help me solve this problem!

I always use Firefox Private Window when I go on the Internet. Today, while I was on Fidelity.com, I was suddenly logged out. When I tried to go back to Fidelity.com using Firefox/Private Window, a dialog box on Microsoft Edge appeared asking me to: "Choice: #1 Do you want to make Firefox to be your default" "Choice: #2 Not Now". Which ever I choice I choose, Microsoft Edge will appear with the two above choices. This has been happening repeatedly for several minutes now, so I tried to reach Firefox Support.

My main problem is I cannot access Firefox / Private Window anymore since I was suddenly logged out of Fidelity.com.

Would you please fix this problem. Also, I already selected Firefox to be my default browser long time ago. Why am I being this question every time I go on the internet using Firefox?

Please tell what creates the folder "Other Bookmarks", its function and the purpose that it is created. I do not put any there, yet there are dozens and I am ignorant of its proper use. I see sites that I might have visited, but still do not know how they got there. Thanks in advance for enlightenment of a user, especially the built in protections.

Hello.

I'm trying to order multiple products on "Bulk.com", i have each tab open for every product that i wish to place in my "shopping basket". When placing the first product in the basket and then moving on to the next tab for placing the the next product in the basket, the basket does not update so that there's total of 2 products in the basket. I'm not sure why this is not updating, but when i tried to do the same thing in Microsoft Edge it worked just fine, and i also contacted Bulk about this and they tried on Google Chrome, which also worked for them. I don't use Chrome so i haven't tried it there. I've deactivate all ad blockers, I've also tried to clear all the cookies and nothing seems to work? So I'm wondering what else is there that i need to try or do so that it work as it should. I've also tried to buy things from other sites which works just fine, so I'm wondering why it works on some sites and not in others?
