Over the past week or so, Youtube videos take a while to start, and will at times just stop and buffer. I turned off uBlock Origin for Youtube, and I have Youtube Premium, but this issue is still happening. Ookla speed test is 569.32 Mbps download, and 23.50 Mbps upload. My Firefox is set to automatically update. Current version is 127.0.1

As of 2024 06 20 there are many websites that I cannot login anymore one being Facebook with this message:Update Your Browser You’re using a web browser that isn’t supported by Facebook.

The icon for private browsing has recently re-appeared on my taskbar despite having browser.privateWindowSeparation.enabled set to false in about:config.

I've had this setting configured ever since the update which completely changed the appearance/behavior or private browsing and it has worked correctly up until today (14/06/24).

Is there a new setting that I have to adjust in order to "merge" the windows together as I'm not a fan of having the private browsing icon on my taskbar.

I don't know what happened, I haven't been tinkering with anything. This happens for every video, not just this one. I've also posted my addons as well, in case that helps with anything.

Almost daily I get a message to download or dismiss update. When I dismiss the message, it continues to pop up. When I hit download, nothing happens. This is locking up my computer at times & slowing everything down. I actually don't see the need for daily updates. What is causing this and how can I stop it?

This problem began a couple days ago. I have no problem accessing other sites on Firefox (and none for this site over years of use.) Can access site on Safari without problem.

I am using Firefox Developer Edition 127 b07, and that happens also in safe mode.

It used to work not too long ago with FF, and it works with Chrome latest.

Hello, I am a tinkerer and I would like to tweak my Firefox Developer Edition to suit my tastes, but I don't know what each of the preference commands does. Could you provide a list explaining what each command does and, if possible, how to use them? I don't want to reinstall Firefox.italic text I prefer to do things properly. Thanks

Recently my home page is blank. Each new tab opens as blank, bookmark icons are missing. I used to have a search engine when i opened Mozilla but now it's totally blank. I need to click on the bookmarks icon to open the list of bookmarks saved instead of seeing them on the toolbar. I didn't change anything and now it's all gone. I have uploaded a screenshot of my screen when I open Mozilla.

A firefox support article told me to reinstall firefox from snap on ubuntu, without mentioning anything about the profile, settings, and bookmarks. Now everything is gone.

Is there any way to recover my local profile?

FF just did an update and now I can barely use the browser. Its slow and then spins and crashes... it took me 6 minutes to just get this open and type this. All my links and sign ins are on it... ugh... How do I reverse the update? thanks

Firefox spawn too many child processess, with cause the browser to freeze.

Proposed solution:

Reduce to absolute minimum the spawn child processess. The value should be set according to the device performance and additionally show allow the user to set manually the limits.

Example: 1 (maximal 3) child process per tab/window

Youtube audio is extremely slow, I reckon at 10%, but the video is fine and can be sped up or down. The problem persists even in troubleshooting mode, after cache clearing, hardware acceleration turned off, enabled DRM and widevine, driver updates, in private mode or not, logged in or not, firefox restarts, computer restarts.

But Youtube plays fine in Chrome and Edge.

I dont think I didnt anything drastically different, or updated win10 or firefox, or messed with anything. It was working fine a day ago.

Is there any way to reset something?

For months now I can't cut and paste if I use Firefox. I am not remotely interested is uninstalling a heap of adds in a vain attempt to fix the issue. I can use Google chrome and Wonderfox which don't suffer this issue. I fail to understand why Firefox is alone in this problem. I would switch to Wonderfox as a default but it only works on SSL sites. Please stop ignoring this issue and fix it. Running Windows 11 fully updated on an AMD cpu.

On the about:sync page the button to "Export to File..." button has no effect. Regardless if I select "Limit history engine fetch to first 5000 records" or "Anonymize Data".

It used to work. So I wonder why nothing happens when I click the button now... There is no network call made when I click the button. No error.
