My potato pc(amd A8-7600, 8G ram, rx560 2G) is not capable of YouTube vp9 hardware acceleration, but I played 1080p 60fps videos without difficulty using add-ons that force h264 decoding, but the videos started stuttering a while ago. At first, I thought it was add-ons problem, but other than YouTube, too

I have had to turn off the ad blockers in the past and delete all the history including sign ins to get it to work again. This update I again went through all of that and also tried turning off every extension, turning off firefox tracking blocker and even reset the network setting to no proxy. Nothing works. Will I have to go back to using the google spyware browser just so I can do my banking? Or can this problem finally be fixed? If firefox worked with NFCU forten years prior without any difficulty I don't know why it cant be fixed.

So I reformatted my computer today, but the process allowed me to keep all my personal files. I had made a backup in my appdata for all my passwords and bookmarks like Firefox allows when you're in Manage Passwords or Manage Bookmarks. After the formatting, I sign into my Firefox account, and it Syncs almost immediately. When I go into my appdata, the profile has been overwritten by the new sync, meaning all my passwords and bookmarks are now no longer available. Is there legitimately anything I can do??

Hi, I'm looking for a way for everything saved on my firefox account including bookmarks, favorites, history etc.. to be automatically saved/backed up, EXACTLY the same way like Apple has it with iCloud.

If I lose my phone, I can log into icloud and get everything 100% the way it was on my new phone.

If I reset my computer, I want to be able to log into my firefox account and have everything exactly the same.

How to do this? I was told the firefox account sync doesn't back anything up...

I need to know how to stop the tool bar from popping down whenever my mouse hits the top of the screen in fullscreen with hide toolbars selected, no other browser I have used does this so I dont know if it is intentional but if it is please tell me how to make it go away, thank you.

Since the update to version 118.02 FF, the downloads now end up in the folder C:\Users\User\AppData\Local\Temp instead of the 'Downloads' folder as indicated in Settings - General (see attachment)

Hello, my websites that I use when at work are now not functioning, including but not limited to

class link, google drive, google forms, google doc, google sheets

I can't access any of them or share any of them with coworkers for some reason. Of course Google browser lets me do everything however, I prefer fire fox instead, because I have been using FFox for many years.

So someone please fix this issue!

Did the Mozilla software upgrade to Firefox yesterday, and not I can not access my email. It says "You don't have permission to access "http://www.att.net/" on this server"

So i was using firefox in Linux recently and now because of linux issues, i switch back to windows. I logged in with same id but sync is not working. I had a long history of passwords, extensions and bookmarks. Also opened tabs and all but the account sync is not working. I even verified if this is the same account i logged in with in linux as i have 2FA and in the app it says this is the email i used for it. Please help me ASAP

A strange thing has just occurred in the past two days -- Firefox will no longer drag and drop URLs to form a shortcut on the desktop; I get only the international "can't do that" symbol, the circle with a slash, as I drag.

When I make a shortcut within firefox, then copy it and paste to the desktop, instead of the FF icon, I get the blank sheet, but when I look at the file with Notebook, it shows all the expected content:

I've googled for answers, but found nothing worthwhile. One suggestion was to shift the default browser to something else. I chose Google Chrome. Did no good. The shortcuts remained inactive. I could drag and drop from Chrome to the desktop but the shortcuts were still of a white sheet and inactive.

So, I'm suspecting something in Windows needs to be reset, but what? Can't find anything about where and how url shortcuts are treated in the registry. It's an annoyance. Any help greatly appreciated.

My computer needed to be updated so I click on update without closing any programs because the computer usually does it. At this time I was in the School Library well the update was completed so I open up Firefox usually when i open firefox after a shutdown or some other reason. I can go to Open Application Menu>History>RestorePreviousSession but before I clicked on Restore Previous Session I realize that I need to go to class, so I closed my computer. once in class I open my computer up and I try to restore my previous session but by the time that I tried to restore it my session was deleted and my question is if anyone at FIREFOX can help restore that deleted session because I was working on my research project which is due this week, and in that particular session I had tabs open that I need so i can finish my project. I maintain the website for a small dog club and use Wordpress with plug-ins to provide page flipping through pdf files in a members only area of the site. The plug-in is D-flip. I have attached .jpg files made using the Fireshot extension both FF and Chrome browsers. I also saved the page as an .htm format file which when displayed does not appear the same as the original page.

Just got this notication after visiting a Top Games support pages when closed the private I used so no active data on what is going on. Very first time ever getting any notification with Firefox before so suspect wedsite as issue caught their linking code trying to drop tracers so maybe something there would appreciate your input. Game parent company Miracle Games I play from a Asian area and pulls some very strange behavior.

Used firefox for many years on all my computers using OS 7 and 10 but today when I clicked on firefox I got news feeds . I have been trying all day to remove them , I might also add that all others computers with my account on has also got the same news feeds on .

How do I remove them I even tried to restore my windows 10 desk top today to a early date but now that computer wont even boot up .

Will someone please tell me how to remover the news feeds .

When I go to google search on Firefox and search for something in images, every result loads instantly. When I go to duck duck go in firefox, there is randomly huge communication lag time between pressing enter and a result populating (usually more than 30seconds-2min where normally it is instant) and a good majority of the image thumbnail results do not display. It didn't used to do this and I think something screwed something up on my computer. What can cause this?

Things I have tried: Resetting Firefox Deleting and Reinstalling Firefox Deleting all cache/cookies/Mozilla files in %appdata, program files, and other locations and reinstalling.

I prefer to use DDG over Google. Can someone help? Why is it doing this?

After opening Firefox and then minimizing/closing it, there is a corner of an advertising page remaining visible on lower right of home screen. Normally an ad for something like Norton or similar. Can be eliminated by right click on title bar. How do I keep it from appearing.
