Hello. 😊 I have a question about my copy of Firefox for Windows v152.0.6 x64. (For the record, I have nasty feeling that I'm using the wrong forum; but the address bar says I'm in the right one.)

In my main profile, the one that I have been using for years, the "Home and Startup" part of my settings page shows the following:

- Firefox Home

 - Search
 - **Weather**
 - Shortcut
 - Support Firefox
 - Recent Activity
   - Visited pages
   - Bookmarks
   - Most recent download
   - [Choose a wallpaper]
 - Firefox logo

Today, I went to about:profiles and created a new profile. This new profile offers different settings:

- Firefox Home

 - Search
 - **Widgets**
   - **Lists**
   - **Timer**
   - **Sports**
   - **Clock**
   - **Weather**
 - Shortcuts
 - Support Firefox
 - Recent Activity
   - Visited pages
   - Bookmarks
   - Most recent download
   - [Choose a wallpaper]
 - Firefox logo

That's strange, isn't it? Why the difference? And how can get all the goodies of the new profile under my old profile?

I turn that off and still no Twitter and your system turns it back on again all by itself, your settings are doing what they want to do, not what I SAY to do. Now, I cannot get into Twitter.

Why is it so difficult for Facebook to function like it does in Chrome. I am a Firefox user on Windows 11. Facebook should function freely and without having to wait for actions to complete. I want Facebook to work normally on Firefox. It should not function like I'm driving a Mack Truck. Firefox, you need to fix this so Facebook functions normally.

All of a sudden I have had problems getting into my gmail or anything Google through Firefox. I have tried deleting cookies and it would work. Now it will not work at all. What has Firefox done? How can I fix this?

unable to load X.com. Shows Firefox Enhanced Tracking as "strict". in FireFox settings, it show i'm at "standard, not Strict". Have refreshed tabs as instructed. No change. Still cant load X.com.

I have a few websites that are consistently unable to load or give out shortly after they do. The two websites I have the greatest issues with are kingarthurbaking.com and Pinterest. Both can load fine on other browers. I am running Windows 11 25H2.

Steps I have taken thus far that did not resolve: Clearing all cache and cookies Setting both "always block" and "always allow" cookies for the sites in question Disabling all extensions Running Firefox in troubleshooting mode Disabling hardware acceleration on Firefox and Windows Refreshing Firefox Completely uninstalling and reinstalling Firefox Screwing around with network.http.max-connections (a hail mary suggestion from a 2011 article)

Clearing all browsing history will let Pinterest load, but I can't search or navigate from the main page without encountering another infinite load and I can't scroll down far before images stop loading. I'm not fond of clearing my entire browser history every time I want to load anything in Pinterest or on King Arthur. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.

Firefox Support.

I receive email messages from members in this forum in Chrome. It is very difficult to find the messages here when I logged in. If possible, can a reference number be provided with the message.

I never log out and if possible I prefer to stay logged in. The main topic seems to be about "Inbuilt adblockers" Some of the messages are a bit rude about the above. I don't appreciate those type of messages.

But I do agree if there could be an adblocker in Firefox in my Android phone, Browser extensions are uBlock Origin, Privacy Badger and CanvasBlocker. They don't block ads. uBlock Origin "Element Picker Mode" works perfectly on my PC but not all on my Android Phone. I appreciate very much how Firefox can be configured more than all the browsers combined, to provide extreme protection and privacy. In addition with MullvadVPN.

I received a message from Microsoft a few days ago and they have extended Windows 10 Security updates to 12 October 2027.

is it possible to get a button or a shortcut to toggle the option full-screen-api.ignore-widgets without using about:config? An addon is not possible I guess because it is an internal option addons shouldn't have access to this.

I've installed the 10.5.x version of Network on my Ubiquiti Gateway. I now have a problem accessing the gateway. However, this is weird. When on the local network, I can connect directly to it, no problem. Where the problem comes in is when I try to connect to it via unifi.ui.com, the web portal that Unifi Gateways connect to. I've tried a Private Window which is set to not enable any extensions. The results are the same. It will sometimes load part of the page, but never all of it. Before the v10.5.x Network Application update, this was not a problem. I've tried this on both a Windows 10 & Windows 11 computer with the same results. Everything works if I'm not trying to connect via the web portal from the local network. (i.e. If I'm elsewhere or use my cellphone's hot spot, I can connect to my gateway via the web portal without any issues.)

I would blame the Network Application update as the problem if it wasn't for one detail. It does work from the local network if I use MS Edge instead of Firefox. So, I suspect that while there was a change made in this update, there is also something that Firefox is blocking that Edge isn't.

Any ideas?

I am suddenly getting ads across websites in Spanish, and my Amazon account flipped to Spanish. I used several IP geolocation services which identified my IP address is assigned to Mozilla Corporation in Queretaro, Mexico, despite my Mozilla VPN being designated United States. How do I solve this problem?
