I just noticed after an update today that the Mobile menu entry (with bookmarks from my mobile Firefox instances) no longer appears in the browser's Bookmarks menu. I can access them from the bookmark manager, but this change seems extraordinarily stupid and arbitrary and is a definite step backwards.

On two occasions all of the favicons for my Bookmarks have disappeared. The only way I have been able to restore them is to open each bookmark using "Open All in Tabs" for each Bookmark folder. As I have many hundreds of Bookmarks, this is an extremely time consuming process. I have done this twice. I have just encountered a third instance of this problem and would like to avoid doing it again if there is any other way to restore the favicons.

I had saved the favicons.sqlite files from the Profile, but I am unaware of any way to restore the favicons directly from this file. The favicons.sqlite file appears to be of the proper size, i.e. ~17KB. On the last occasion, following a suggested solution, I rebuilt the iconcache hoping it would also rebuild the favicons, but that was not the case. As a result, I used the above process.

Any solutions to restore the Bookmark favicons without opening all with "Open All in Tabs" would be greatly apprecuated. I don't know what has caused the favicons to disappear. I am running Firefox 129.0.2 on a Windows 11 Pro PC.

How do I have more bookmarks than the 9 that are listed. I used to have a list of 20 or 25 bookmarks. Now if I add a new bookmark, one of the old ones is deleted.

This used to work fine. I don't want to mess with userChrome.css to get it to work. It should just work like it used to.

Whenever I save a page, it takes two attempts to save correctly. 1st attempt, the page is saved to my bookmarks menu, despite selecting another folder. 2nd attempt, the page save correctly to the folder selected. I was wondering if anyone knew how get my browser back to one save attempt. Thanks for your help!

i got this long bookmarklet https://pastebin.com/MZmzEy5C and its working on google chrome but not on firefox when i add it on firefox nothing happens no errors too so whats wrong? thanks for advance replies, btw this bookmarklet is use for my huawei modem web control panel it adds a lot of functionality to it

cannot find any setting to get rid of double spacing in bookmarks and other bookmarks drop-down lists. lack of scroll bars makes this bad configuration in firefox even worse.

I was trying to get the Geek Squad to log in to my computer to do a tuneup and make sure after I downloaded the new Firefox to see if my computer was up to date. I could not get the download they sent to let them log on open

Hello there; I had installed the "savefrom.net" extension. This extension automatically generated the website address to the "bookmarks toolbar". I deleted the extension and deleted the shortcut as well. But when the bookmarked website shortcut "firefox" is closed and reopened, it adds itself to the bookmarks toolbar again. No matter what I did, it didn't work. I don't want to delete Firefox completely and reinstall it. Because there are too many shortcuts and data that I use all the time. How do you think I can solve this problem?

I'm experiencing a significant issue with my Firefox bookmarks after migrating to a new Mac device. Background:

1. 1 I recently switched to a new Mac and installed Firefox.
2. 2 Before the switch, I was using Firefox on another Mac, and I had synced all my bookmarks and other data with my Firefox account.
3. 4 The old Mac has since been formatted, and unfortunately, I no longer have access to it.
4. 5 After signing in to my Firefox account on the new Mac, I noticed that none of my previously synced bookmarks appeared. It’s as if the sync didn’t bring over any of my old data.

TL;DR: Despite having synced my bookmarks with Firefox on my old Mac, they did not transfer to my new Mac after syncing. I’m worried that these bookmarks might be lost forever.

Is there any way to recover my old bookmarks from the Firefox Sync servers or through any other means?

Up until a few weeks ago, I could see and access Mobile Bookmarks (I sync these to my Firefox Desktop) using the Firefox Desktop browser from the Bookmarks drop-down menu in the topmost toolbar.

Now, I can no longer find Mobile Bookmarks in the Bookmarks drop-down menu.

I can still find it by choosing Manage Bookmarks and, in the resulting pop-up, I can see it in its regular location there. However, this is significantly less convenient as it requires me to juggle another window and perform more clicks.

Is it missing due to a bug? Does Mozilla intend to fix/address this?

I recently bought a new computer and it imported the bookmarks that I had from my chrome account to Firefox after installing it. I already had a firefox account on my old computer and I signed into the new computer with my firefox account thinking it would make a difference but I am still unable to see my old bookmarks that were on my old firefox. Now the issue is even the firefox on my old computer was also updated with the imported bookmarks from Chrome. Please let me know how to solve this issue and get back my old firefox bookmarks back, please attach screenshots if possible.

I appreciated how easy it was to restore my bookmarks, but I also discovered another problem in the process. When I went to sort my bookmarks by name, it sorted but added in a gazillion bookmarks that had been deleted many years ago. I have no idea how or why this is happening. Again, I need help. This was, of course, what happened when I asked for help previously. Somehow the sorting (by Name) has been corrupted.

I just sorted my bookmarks by name and what came back was a list a mile long of bookmarks that included folders and pages that have been deleted for years. If I want to clean the list up, it will take me an eternity. I have no idea how this happened or what i can do to regain the current list of bookmarks that I had. I really need help.
