Today my Firefox browser updated & all my bookmarks have disappeared. In place of my Bookmark toolbar is just "For quick access, placeyour bookmarks here on the bookmarks toolbar. Manage bookmarks(link). The bookmarks side bar is empty. I've followed the instructions to try to recover them but the page(Goes there from the "Manage Bookmarks" link) they send me to has no functionality. Whatever I enter goes nowhere, whatever I select. I've tried several different routes from the support/help pages to resolve but always end up at this dumb page. How do I get my bookmarks back when the tools to do so don't seem to want to work?

When i upgraded Firefox my old profile doesn't show up now. I found my old profile under about:profiles but when i click on the Launch profile in new browser i get this message, "You've launched an older version of Firefox. Using an older version of Firefox can corrupt bookmarks and browsing history already saved to an existing Firefox profile. To protect your information, create a new profile for this installation of Firefox" I did create a new profile but how do i get my old saved data, add ons etc to the new profile?

I logged into my Firefox Sync account last week on a newly re-imaged computer. My old computer is listed under "Connected Services" and for the first few days, when I selected "Sync" from the top right menu, the subsequent menu included the name of the the old computer and the list of tabs. That list of tabs is no longer listed and I haven't been able to find a way to access it. Attached is an image of the menu where the list of tabs was previously listed. Any suggestions are appreciated.

Good afternoon, I had to format my PC and when I installed Firefox, when I logged in, I noticed that it didn't import the bookmarks I had associated with the account (as I always do) or the saved passwords. Everything disappeared. Why? Can I recover this data? Thank you.

Hello. I love the feature. I didn't know it was a new feature because I started using Firefox around April. I saved my group tabs, very happy about it. Then I close and save it, then I opened it again, it was great!

I am a student, I use my group tab to add the tabs that have the resources that I need to, and would also like to study for more knowledge and for my next school year.

There was no problem at that whole time. In April 21, there was no problem until April 22, 23 no problem. But I forgot my charger at that time, because I was at my mothers house. Then I wait for weeks for my charger to come back, about 2 weeks for my laptop to revive there in my grandparent's house.

When I got my charger, and opened firefox. Wait, but at first when I opened firefox, it showed me that there is a new update, an update about tab groups that I already now. I looked at my group tabs, and they are not there anymore.

What should I do to get them back.

I have a new PC and using the same account in both old and new (jrallen@umn.edu). The sync mechanisms are on, but the new machine seems to have only a few of the bookmarks from the old machine. It seems like they are missing or invisible. I only have "Other Bookmarks" available.

bold text I want to recover my account just as it was one week ago. My computer crashed a few days ago and I am having a night mare getting all my accounts reentered. I am a 77 year old senior citizen and some of the instructions are just too complicated for me. I appreciate all your help. I love my account and I am lost without it. when attempting to move Firefox bookmarks to my new computer, I click import data within the Firefox page. The computer asks me to select the file. I have no idea where the bookmarks reside and cannot find a file. What is the procedure to get this done?

Transferring bookmarks & backups for passwords is easy and I'm not worried about that. But the about:config settings that I have customized and accreted over years so that nothing beeps, spins, auto-plays, loops, or throbs a tab, are not so straightforward. I'd like to review what files I can save how to make sure I do not lose these, which are the most important things to me about my Firefox installs--keeping the web safe for quiet, nondistracting searches and reading.

Windows 10 Enterprise, managed by my organization, but with just enough admin privileges to customize my Firefox.
