When I updated my MacOS Sonoma to Version 14.6.1, I was unable to open the Firefox App.

When I click on the icon the dot below shows that its active, but no windows appear. I tried doing "Show all windows", but the screen just says "No Available Windows".

When I try to print and use the "print to pdf" printer, the save button does nothing. I can print to my printer, but I cannot create pdf's. I am using Firefox 129.0 and Ubuntu 22.04.4 LTS

so, in my other question I was reminded about Browserleaks and while I was there testing TLS I also tested Canvas and it said 100% unique which I was surprised because I have the Enhance Protection in FF in "Custom" with both fingerprinting options selected and in "in all windows", plus CanvasBlocker.

100% unique is not good, right? That's what I thought at first. But then I remembered, CanvasBlocker rotates settings all the time, so even if my fingerprint is 100% unique it's also changing all the time which means "they" can't identify me (supposedly). Then I also thought "actually it might be better than not 100% unique because in that case I might have more issues with websites thinking that it's someone else trying to access my account". But then I thought "although if it's 100% unique changing all the time it's also like if it was a different person".

I deactivated CanvasBlocker and tested again and it was also 100% unique. Then I reactivated CanvasBlocker and I deactivated FF's anti-fingerprint. Again 100% unique. In other words, I don't see a way to see what is the difference between using CanvasBlocker on top of the native FF anti-fingerprint. That's where you can help :)

So, questions.

1) can you tell me what exactly does FF block about fingerprinting? And, does it rotate settings like CanvasBlocker so that this "100% unique" is not actually a real issue because it's different every time? Or is it a bad kind of 100% unique in that case?

2) what would create less issues of websites thinking that I am not me? A rotating 100% unique, or a not 100% unique (in which case, how to I achieve that, considering that neither CanvasBlocker nor FF's anti-fingerprint nor both together can do that?).

Would you say that having a VPN with own DNS which block tracking on a domain level, plus AdGuard with all possible filters, plus FF's Enhanced Protection in "Custom" with all at max, plus CanvasBlocker, is a good combo? Or what could I improve to reach a good balance of not being tracked/fingerprinted, not being blocked "because I am not me", reasonably light resources usage, and reasonable browsing speeds?

I used uBlock Origin previously because it's lighter on resources and it triggers my laptop's fans much less than AdGuard but it doesn't block (not even with element picker) some annoying things of websites that I visit often. In case you wanted to recommend that :)

I am hoping that there is a way in which I can organise (permanently, not just the current display) my bookmarks alphabetically though still separated by folders and bookmarks. In case that isn't clear, the order would be:

1. 1 all of the folders grouped together in alphabetical order, then
2. 2 all the bookmarks grouped together in alphabetical order.

The pdf gets overwritten by the new text when it is scrolled down or up and the whole pdf becomes messy. I have attached an image showing the same. The terminal gets into the background of the pdf and any other application that is opened on the screen.

I am reporting this to you for investigation. In a routine scan, WebRoot reported that your Firefox had a memory leek. You might take it up with WebRoot. I really can’t help any further.

I have disabled sponsored shortcuts in Firefox settings, and did this when I first set up my browser.

Today when launching my browser the first link in my shortcuts was to @Google which I specifically do not use. I do not use google search. I do not want google search. I do not want cookies or content from google.

Why was this sponsored shortcut pushed to my browser after I disabled sponsored shortcuts?

Every time I use the browser, I am delayed by : p.typekit.net for a little while before I get results. Why? Can this be removed from the search or browser? I can use a book mark and I get the same hang up on p.typekit.net EVERY time. It slows the browser quite a bit. I have used Firefox for over a decade and would like to keep using it. If you can't fix or can direct me how to fix I need to change browsers because the browser lag is getting stupid. Please help.

Edge and Chrome directly open embedded government pages, such as https://www.nifc.gov and https://hazards.fema.gov/nri/map, that "Firefox Can't Open." "To protect your security," Firefox requires each to be opened in a new window. This is an incentive for users to switch to Edge or Chrome and stop using Firefox. All .gov pages should be safe to open even if they do not "utilize x-frame options or a content security policy to control whether other websites can embed them."

Hello, I forgot the password of my firefox account. After I changed the password and entered the account, all my account information is lost. Please help me to get my account information back.

When I visit jsonviewer.stack.hu and paste data into the viewer I get the following error:

TypeError: netscape.security.PrivilegeManager is undefined

Please type: "about:config" in your address bar. Then filter by "signed". Change the value of "signed.applets.codebase_principal_support" to true. You should then be able to use this feature.

As config is sensitive area of the settings can you guide through this problem with a fix? Thanks bcoleman@sympatico.ca

There are 32 shortcuts on my home screen - 4 rows of 8 each. However, I accidentally "dismissed" one shortcut - now there are 31 total. I cannot figure out how to restore a shortcut. Is the solution in about:config (browser.newtabpage.pinned)?

Please help me figure out what is keeping Firefox from opening. I have reinstalled it and it worked yesterday but today after restarting my computer, it will not open.
