I live with Firefix always in full screen. I Don't like seeing any bars or buttons of any kind.

Befor the latest update, when I moved my mouse to the top of the screen my tabs popped down and in the top right corner was the standard icons for "minimize" "maximize" and "exit".

With the latest update the tabs are there but the 3 buttons have gone.

If I exit full screen (F11) then they are there again, but I dont want to have to exit full screen every time I change between programes which I do every few mins. I'd be popping pages in and out of full screen every few mins!

How do I get the buttons back all the time?

106.0.2 locks up Windows Explorer (Not Responding) on my Win 7 machine as soon as it starts. After restarting Explorer, it seems to continue working. I have seen this issue reported earlier.

I just updated from Firefox 96.0.3 to Firefox 97. When I try to print I get the Firefox preview, even though I have print.tab_modal.enabled set to false. Please fix it so that I can get the print system dialog without going via the Firefox preview. Note that I have now reverted to Firefox 96.0.3 and won't update from this unless the problem is fixed.

Hello. I suspect there was a cyber attack on April 1 2024. All of a sudden,having problems crashing with more than 1 browser. My Brave browser would open,and then crash with multiple tabs that had been saved. My Mozilla history was cleared,and I want it back because I need to find all sites I have visited from time to time for logins etc,but they are now gone.I have tried importing all of my Brave history,login forms to Firefox,but not sure where to located them or where they would be stored.

I have never had to deal with this sort of thing before so i am saying that i may be somewhat noobish on this.I just want some expert instruction on what to do here,and how to do it.I,m not 100 percent sure if i can do it correctly on my own by googling this myself,then attempting it.Brave continues to open then crash right after,so I dont know whats going on there with the userdata folder in the appdata folders with regard to Brave. Everytime i try to install an older version of Brave,it says i already have a curent version of it,and i dont want to uninstall brave then reinstall it again,or not sure if i should do this. DIRECTLY after 114.0.1 update, I get a CONSTANT UNENDING PROMPT telling me all about firefox , ON EACH AND EVERY SEARCH, I am here to find out how to remove this intentionally annoying, "thing" from MY PC(of course Mozilla couldn't be bothered to tell us they were installing a continuous advertisement for google, and FORCE installing it as search engine). I want this endless advertisement removed, post haste.

I've noticed this issue happening randomly, some of my toolbar bookmarks listed on the sidebar just up and disappear from view. As if they were never there. But I know they're still saved because when I click to Manage Bookmarks and check them there, they show up fine. The toolbar just randomly hides them for whatever reason, and I can only fix it by closing Firefox and opening it again.

I'm on the current version. I remember accessing about:support and clicking on Verify Integrity while trying troubleshoot some other issue, but don't know if that could've caused it though.

I have always had the Print UI disabled by setting print.tab_modal.enabled to FALSE. Since the Version 97 update today, this is not working. The FALSE setting is still there under about:config but the Print UI dialogue now keeps coming up.

Firefox 97 installed itself , and now I have two print dialogs each time I go to print something. I have the system print dialog , and the Firefox print dialog. Does anyone one know a way to turn of the Firefox dialog in 97?

I fixed it in earlier versions by setting

print.tab_modal.enabled = false

...but in Firefox 97 it seems this no longer does the job.

I don't want the pdf to save to disk without my will when I open a pdf file from any website. Fire Fox saves the file first, then opens it for reading. How to change it? I want to read the pdf first and then decide what to do with it. This works similarly in Edge. FF is my main browser, I wouldn't want to change that, but I have too much garbage on my disk. every pdf is saved first, completely unnecessary.

Add address in search bar I get "ERROR OCCURRED" It seems something on my end is blocking this ip. Cannot ping from pc or router. I have downloaded Firefox 113.0.1 for Windows x64 but the file seems to be corrupt. When I check the installation file with 7Zip Test Archive appeared a Warning Message due to a Checksum error. All others versions of Firefox downloaded can be checked correctly by 7Zip, but this installation file show an error message that I never have received. Is there a problem with the file? Thanks

I keep getting alerts from Norton while browsing ran Norton's scan and MBAM then ran Norton's Power Eraser. I did not fine the source of the problem. I added an entry to my hosts file hoping it would block the IP but it doesn't seem to work, I may have done something wrong. Pages reload while trying to read. This is a problem on news, blog, and most pages with a lot of text. Before headlines can be fully read, the page reloads and you're back at the top. This has been a problem since Netscape went away. There was a red stop button that froze the page. The page didn't reload until manually reloaded. The only solution I've found is to unplug Starlink, read the page and replug, refresh. Using FF since Netscape died. I have used Chrome and others, but this is a common annoyance. I suppose this constant reloading on some sites is a way to increase page view stats.

Windows 7, FF 108.0.2. I normally update FF when new updates appear.

I do have a new PC with windows 11, but it's such a mess, I'll probably have to load Linux to make it usable.

A msg. suddenly appeared at the top of my ff general settings page saying "your organization is managing your browser". Upon clicking on it it appears that Chrome has taken over most of my ff settings and disabled some of them. I have NO organization; I am retired and have a personal computer that only I use for personal things. I have run numerous anti malware programs that have found nothing. I have restored the computer to a much earlier time. I chose Firefox, NOT Chrome. Please help me get rid of this. And please don't assume I have knowledge as I am old and not very computer literate so if you could use simple terms I can understand that would be much appreciated. If no help, what can I do next to get some. Thank you I am using Windows 7 home premium on an older Dell business machine.

I was upgraded to 101.0 last night, now firefox only displays blank white screens. No other updates to the computer happened (windows10).

How can this be fixed? thx ,-m

Hello! Since a month I have a strange problem - Firefox wont connect to any Google service - REcaptcha, google-analytics. Any site that uses these services would not load, or loads and waits until connection expires. I tried refreshing Firefox, the uninstalling and re-installing - the problem remains. I do not use any proxy or firewall on my computer. Opera and other browsers do not have this problem. Please, advice.

I've noticed in the last week or two that when I'm on my desktop and try to navigate to an Instagram profile, that 9 out of 10 times I get the error in the screenshot attached:

"Sorry, this page isn't available."

Weirdly, if I have a link to a specific instagram post, the browser will load it. But profile page? Forget about it. Anyone else having this issue, and know perhaps why Firefox is loading Instagram this way on a desktop?

It seems like no matter what I do, I can't get Firefox to download files from Google Drive. It loads for a moment, then it says "The page isn’t redirecting properly". I have confirmed that it's only Firefox because I can download files from Google Drive with Google Chrome. I have disabled Enhanced Tracking Protection, selecting the Standard Enhanced Tracking Protection Setting, and even refreshing Firefox. Though, I noticed that it only works on incognito mode for whatever reason.

Made several posts about floating videos and never one answer over the course of two years that I can recall. One of the biggest user problems with FF and we get -- nothing. If the developers are incapable of solving this go ahead and tell us ! We can look for other browser options. I have researched everything to do with the matter and the topic just round and round and round in circles. Dozens claim to have the answer but they are all full of hooey. Simple question -- time to start looking for options other than FF ?

Until recently, I resisted allowing updates for Firefox because of the announcements of changes to prevent access to some technical kinds of website which I use. These include the public websites of the Paris Observatory which include useul informational ftp pages with important text, data and software files.

  I did recently allow a Firefox update, and now I find that I am cut off from access to these ftp pages. 
  How can I re-enable access to ftp? If it can't be done in the new version of Firefox, how can I return to an older Firefox version that does allow such access?
