Now I am not able to send a new email. It always assumes an ongoing conversation, I do not want that at all. My email provider is WOW, they seem to be changed also. What I miss most is that when I enter a name the email address no longer appears. That ruins it totally. That is/was the very best email function but now it is gone.

I use that address to start a new conversation with a friend, and now that function is no longer found.. When I open an email the sender address is not shown, I need that address always. The sender address is vital, it is how I report scams, but more important it is how I can send a new email to the sender, I do not always want to do a reply. The size of the email is not shown, that is how I detect spam and hidden malware.

Has Mozilla been taken over by microsoft? That is what this change looks like. (Sorry, I know that sounds rather nasty, but it looks that way)

I use several different computers but I am the only user, I have not yet tried the other computers to see if the old version is still available. So far this computer is the only one updated. I need to assure that no automatic updates ever are done, EVER!!!

This is my second posting of this problem. When I open a document through a web site, I do not see any text in it. If I open web mail in Spectrum I get strange symbols on the top menu bar. None of these issues are evident in Chrome. I have made sure to update to the latest version of Firefox available, 92.0.1. This has no effect.

Firefox 92.0.1 (64-bit) Firefox seems to open two connections whenever it connects to a url.

I have a local web server that only allows a single connection at a time.

When I enter localhost:5409 as the address firefox immediately opens two connections to the port. The first connection sends no data whatsoever. The GET request is sent out the second connection. This is not useful.

I think if you want to open two connections the GET request should go out on the first connection.

Perhaps the above behaviour is by design but I think it is a problem.

Please explain

Dear Firefox,

I have relied on your browser for years for business related research and might now be sorry that I ever did.

More specifically, my 300+ tabs are gone and when I tried accessing recently closed windows (in case of user error), they are not there either. To make things even worse, although it would be extremely arduous and time consuming/costly, when I went to check all history, my history now stops in August!!! I cannot even find my one tab extension to check from what point I might need to go back.

Is there anything you can please do to help or is all a lost cause with many hours of work gone and no real way to get them back?

Ok so the question I was originally asking is why Firefox won't adjust to my computers Settings. For instance I have to Zoom to 150% to read my emails even though the minimum font size is set 20. So I went on the Help page and it kept giving direction do Refreshing the page, which I believe I've done before but the tutorial said they've changed the way it looks and where its at and unfortunately on my current, newest version, Firefox its nowhere. For starters, click on the 3 lines ie the Menu Bar on the right, good, then go down to Help, no Help listed in the Drop-Down Menu, No Troubleshooting, no More Tools? I am stuck? Ok under Share Data it says "safe-mode false" ?

I have used EVERY proposed step in this article: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/troubleshoot-extensions-themes-to-fix-problems#w_the-problem-does-not-occur-in-troubleshoot-mode

Problem GOES AWAY when FF is used in Troubleshoot mode BUT, when I open FF on normal mode and make sure I UNinstall all addons, extensions, dictionaries, language packs, use default theme and DONT allow hardware acceleration, then the problem STILL persists!!!

It seems that ONLY when in Troubleshoot mode the problem is resolved: NOT by removing all obvious addons or cotrols.

The problem is : ANY download button, does not work! (it is clickable, and yes, the browser seems to respond to it -rapid flickering of browser window- but a download dialogue is never opened -nor a download file is found in any corresponding folder) -then, once in Troubleshoot mode, the same button is normally functional again!

What is a proposed solution to that?

What could control could be behind the problem, that IS NOT USER switchable, but IS INDEED controlled (disabled) when Troubleshoot mode is selected???

Could there be a .json file (corrupted, etc.), that associates with buttons/elements (like the download buttons) and prevents the download to be triggered?, SO THAT maybe if I remove the .json corrupted file the new one will work fine, (maybe such a .json file is NOT loaded during Troubleshoot mode, but IS THERE whatever settings i choose through the settings of the FF)

PS: I have 14 installed plugins, about all same as on my FF93.0 on Win10 laptop, that the packet works just fine!

The following is the msg I get when attempting to enter my bank acct at Fifth Third Bank (www.53.com) after applying ID & password. Having responded to the msg several times, I phoned 53 bank and am told that there is a glitch with/at Firefox; (they) have had several complaints and to contact your support desk.

I can get there using Microsoft Edge but prefer using Firefox. Until recently (within the month) I have had no problems accomplishing a connection using Firefox. About the same time (don't know if there is a connection) I am getting error msgs, no msgs, no connects, while attempting to connect to gmail and other programs. Suddenly there is a very slow connection and a lot of info msgs re handshakes etc flashing in the lower left of my screen. Have tried reinstalling Firefox to no avail. Computer repair says computer OK. Still no connection with the bank. s/ Bruce
